Who I work with: - People who are fired up and ready to do this - “Refugees” from conventional eating disorder treatment who are ready to finally get to the root of the issue - Folks with some sass, fire, and rebelliousness (with a soft and sensitive core) - Quirky go-getters, nerds and misfits, and outsiders with undercover witchy tendencies - People who want better relationships, emotional resiliency skills, and a healthier relationship with food and their body - People who’ve tried talk therapy and have an inkling there’s something more: a deeper, more soulful connection to themselves and all their inner parts. *I welcome folks of all identities and sizes How I work: Is it frustrating for you when people tell you to “just let it go” or “be kinder to yourself”? As if there were some switch you could flip…if you just weren’t so stubborn / clueless / goofy. First up: there is no such switch. (If there were, someone would have patented it by now). Second up: suggestions like this, no matter how well-intentioned, almost never work. They can also leave us feeling frustrated and like failures. Self-compassion and emotional healing are trickier than most people (or cutesy magnets) would have you believe. Myth: Just talk through why you feel this way and you problem will vanish. Truth: Real healing takes more than head-knowing. It’s a whole-bodied affair. This is why typical talk therapy - where you come in, sit on a couch, share how you feel - often falls short. You leave feeling like "ok, I feel a little better, but now what?" So I work a little differently. Still talk, still insight, but more connection to body, intuition, and emotions. We get beyond the "why" and get to the actual "how" of real change. You can read more about my approach at www.stephaniesmallhealth.com. I’m a licensed clinical social worker and nutritionist. I received my BA from Yale University, my MSW from Smith College for Social work, and certificates in Holistic Nutrition Education and Mental Health Nutrition from Bauman College and the Academy for Addiction and Mental Health Nutrition. I ran the nutrition program at a substance abuse recovery center in Denver for two years and have trained in trauma therapy, internal parts work, somatic therapies, and more. I currently maintain a private practice online and in Boulder and Denver, CO, write for national and local publications, consult for mental health agencies and substance abuse recovery centers, and speak at live events.

You know that you’ve worked so hard to get to where you are today — but you still struggle with feeling not good enough. You’ve had to hide aspects of your true self in order to fit in. At times, it feels like you’re living behind a mask; like no one understands the real you. Relationships are a struggle. You’re used to compromising your needs to please others, and it’s leading to burnout. You seek genuine connection, but it’s hard to open up and trust others. You’re ready to find a better way forward - toward more joy and less stress. I'm here to support you. In our therapy work together, you will gain the skills and support to regulate difficult emotions, heal from the past, and build a brighter present and future. I am a psychotherapist in Boulder, Colorado and have spent my career working with people to find solutions, move towards recovery and create positive change in their lives. My focus is helping you to figure out the path forward to improve your quality of life. That might mean finding emotional stability, processing trauma, creating personal growth, or improving relationships. I have worked with college students, both undergraduate and graduate students, for the last 10 years at the University of Colorado Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) doing individual, group and couples therapy. Upon starting private practice, I intentionally found an office close to campus as I hoped to continue working with students. I love working with students on the challenges that come up in college and grad school such as adjusting to college and academic stress, processing issues that you may have hoped to leave at home, or working through new experiences or traumas that are causing distress. I seek to provide my clients with a safe and non-judgmental space in order to move towards emotional health and stability. I specialize in EMDR trauma therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Mindfulness based treatments to help with trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and feeling stuck in life.

I help clients feel less anxious and more authentic in their relationships. I believe that many people experience struggle in their lives as a result of growing distant from their emotional compasses. I work with individual clients and couples to reconnect with these aspects of their experiences. While I work with clients of all genders, I hold a particular interest and expertise in working with men. I approach sessions with a compassion, humor, and directness. In my experience, change begins when we observe the way our patterns continue to lead to distress in our lives. I help clients identify approaches to shifting these patterns. Through this process, clients often find themselves feeling more authentic and fulfilled in their relationships. If you are interested in the approach described here, please reach out. I would love to hear from you.

I understand; you've tried everything. Instead of following the traditional medical model of diagnosing and labeling, I meet you where you are with embodied support to help you live a fully integrated life. I blend practices from East and West, neuroscience with spirituality, and movement with introspection. My work focuses on integrating all parts of you—body, mind, and soul—to build healthier relationships, improve your self-esteem, help you relate differently to anxiety and depression, reconnect with purpose and meaning, and come home to your body. I believe in the healing power of embodiment to recover from the hurt you've experienced. I specialize in compassionate, trauma-focused ketamine-assisted therapy to help you live a more present and embodied life. Trauma can manifest as nearly any form of stress held in the nervous system, from autoimmune conditions and chronic pain to anxiety and addiction. Ketamine-assisted therapy is an excellent option if you feel like you've tried everything but still feel stuck. It's a safe and legal therapeutic option for treating symptoms ranging from depression and anxiety to OCD and eating disorders. Ketamine-assisted therapy is a science-backed intervention that heals on a neurobiological level, creating more lasting and transformative change. As a therapist specializing in EMDR and somatic psychology, in addition to ketamine-assisted therapy, my goal is to get you back in your body. I want you to feel relief, not just in sessions, but for the days and weeks that follow. Trauma isn't just "in your head"; it leaves a very real biological imprint on your body, memory, and brain chemistry. Through somatic (ancient Greek for "body") psychotherapy, EMDR, and mindfulness-based practices, I help you find freedom from limiting beliefs, depression, anxiety, and addictive patterns. I offer in-person therapy to Seattle clients and virtual therapy throughout Washington and Colorado.

For over 25 years I have worked as a social worker, life coach and therapist with children, adolescents and adults. Since I was a child I knew that I wanted to be a counselor helping others in their time of need. At some point in life's journey you may experience a time where you feel you may benefit from some extra support and guidance, let me help you on the road to hope and healing. I believe in a mutual therapeutic relationship working together as a team towards the client's goals. Starting therapy and sharing issues that have become challenging is a hard and yet courageous step in your healing process. As a therapist I am honored to be able to share in this journey and hold the emotions that come with this. I consider myself to be an eclectic therapist, taking into consideration the individuals uniqueness and needs before implementing techniques and strategies. I use an honest and direct approach in a non-judgemental and compassionate way. With the help of different modalities CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused and EMDR I can help you find a path toward inner peace and joy.

We work primarily with folks experiencing difficulty with ADHD or attention struggles, anxiety, PTSD, and depression. We use a brain map (qEEG) to measure baseline electrical activity, and then design an individualized protocol to then habituate more adaptive, efficient, and flexible brainwave patterns. Training occurs twice weekly for around 30-50 sessions.

Hi! My name is Amy and my primary practice specialty is grief and loss. While often people come to me due to the death of someone, grief is a wide and varied experience that can encompass many experiences: the end of a relationship, loss of a job, moving to a new place, the transition from high school to college or college to adulthood, and many others. I love working with people who acknowledge that the pain and suffering they are experiencing does not have to be managed alone and I am in the work of sitting with what can't always be fixed. Sometimes we just need a space to talk, learn coping skills, and say how much what we're dealing with sucks without people trying to problem solve or feel uncomfortable with the emotions we're experiencing. That's the space I create - one of safety, validation, humor, compassion, and unconditional permission to say, feel, and think whatever you need along your healing journey.
