Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, the Rocky Mountains provided a beautiful backdrop to a variety of educational and professional experiences. I received my doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver, where I obtained specialized training in psychological assessment, substance misuse, couples psychotherapy, and university counseling. After completing my training in New Orleans I have continued to provide mental health services for university students, individuals, and couples. I have extensive clinical experience with adolescents, emerging adults, middle age adults and over seven years of direct clinical service for undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students. A commitment to cultural humility and anti-racism remains a central value in my clinical practice. Individuals and couples of all races, religions, nationalities, sexual orientations, gender identities, abilities and relationship identities are welcome.

Life can often present us with challenges that leave us feeling not like ourselves. Many of us seek to deepen connections to feel a sense of peace, wellness, and fulfillment in our lives, but don't know where to begin. I offer a holistic approach to therapy using evidence based practices, somatic/body techniques, mindfulness/meditation, & family systems techniques within an attachment framework. If you are experiencing changes/transitions, have concerns about self-esteem and identity, or experience stress, anxiety, depression or trauma, let's work together to provide you a space to process your experiences and sense of relief. I offer telehealth, office, and nature based sessions. The outdoors can offer a place of healing and rejuvenation. My practice utilizes nature to enhance the healing impacts of traditional talk therapy. I offer a walk-and-talk model that combines the freeing element of being outdoors with psychotherapy. Movement in the outdoors gives us the ability to access our emotions and process our experiences while feeling grounded and attuned to the moment. This can be a new and inspiring experience for those who have tried traditional office-based therapy and felt they needed something different or more dynamic.
Joe specializes in supporting students and young adults navigating the effects of trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Joe completed clinical training at Harvard University Counseling & Mental Health Services, where he worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including those marginalized by gender, race, and sexuality, and those recovering from traumatic experiences. Joe’s therapeutic approach is rooted in psychodynamic theory, helping clients uncover unconscious thoughts, emotions, and behaviors by exploring how past experiences influence their current lives. This process allows clients to identify patterns and work toward meaningful, positive change. Joe holds an MSW from the Smith College School for Social Work and a BA from American University in Washington, D.C. Joe offers therapy online and in-person at THRIVE's Boulder, Colorado location.
My approach is to connect with you, to meet you right where you are in your life. I won’t presume to know what’s right for you (it’s really you that’s the expert when it comes to what’s right for you.) Sometimes, confusion clouds your ability to find your way – that’s why you’re here… My experience and training will help guide you back to health and wellness. I’ll join you as you do the work, so that you’re not alone working your way back. I can see you clearly, even when you can’t. For me, it’s simply natural to relate to you in whatever state you are in. Life is sometimes messy, ugly, embarrassing, painful, or shameful – but I see more than what you are going through or feeling in the moment. I am good at joining with you in your struggles and will even hold hope when it’s hard for you to do so. Change is often hard and it’s my privilege to share in your journey toward a life filled with less anxiety, deeper meaning, more joy, and relationships that are healthy and secure.
Our 20s is a special time AND it's kind of confusing. We're figuring out who we are and how we fit into this world. No small task. You're feeling frustrated with your relationships and you're not sure how to do things differently. You were never shown how. Where do you fit in this world? Who do you want to be? You're figuring out your passions and how to make that into a sustainable career. I can help you gain clarity and support you as we explore what works and what doesn't. Gently and at a pace that feels good for you. We can clarify your relationship values, understand what healthy boundaries look like in your life, and learn to communicate your needs effectively. I offer both teletherapy and in-person Equine sessions. Working with horses gives us a unique way to connect and learn about ourselves. Hi, I’m Amanda. I work with individuals and couples who want to get to the root of their patterns—whether it’s relational conflict, trauma symptoms, anxiety, or a sense that something deeper is in the way of fully living. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside but exhausted internally. Others feel flooded, shut down, or stuck in dynamics they can’t quite name. I help you slow down and listen to the wisdom of your nervous system, so we can understand how past experiences may still be living in your body—and gently unwind them. My approach integrates EMDR, somatic therapy, parts work (IFS-informed), and body-based listening tools like the Safe and Sound or Rest and Restore Protocol. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for those seeking an altered state of consciousness to process trauma or reconnect with meaning. When working with couples, I draw from Relational Life Therapy to help partners move beyond blame and disconnection and into clarity, ownership, and renewed connection. I also offer Discernment Counseling which is a short term focused therapy for couples unsure whether to stay or separate—with compassion for both perspectives. Outside the therapy room, I spend as much time as I can outdoors—going on “bug hunts” with my son, hiking local trails with my husband, or exploring a new interest in horseback riding. I also love yoga, travel, and quiet mornings with coffee and books. If you’re ready to get curious about what your symptoms are trying to say—and want to feel more connected to yourself and your relationships—I’d be honored to support your journey.
My name is Amanda, and I have a long history of working with college students in a variety of contexts. I support students who navigate identity issues, transitions, anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, want to improve self-esteem and step into the person they want to become. I also work in the outdoor industry and use my years of outdoor guiding to support my clients with kindness, compassion, humor and skill. I accept many insurance providers and am taking on new clients.
I am a licensed clinical psychotherapist serving NY (in-person/virtual), CO (virtual), and FL (virtual). I work with young adults, adults and couples within a supportive relational framework and incorporate varied behavioral modalities (including ACT, CBT and DBT). I have a MA in psychology, MSW in social work and presently am a doctoral student graduating in 2024.
I am Shana Dobson, also known as Shana "Danger" Dobson, former UFC fighter. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor that has navigated marginalization in athletic, social, and mental health related spaces. I knew firsthand the importance of mental health community and support, being a Black, queer, neurodiverse, masculine presenting, first generation American with Jamaican roots. Mainstream mental health care was not built for everyone. Marginalized communities often face the additional burden of educating their therapist about their own lives — and that burden gets in the way of healing. At Path2Peace, we believe every person deserves a clinician who brings genuine, lived understanding — not just cultural competency training. We use the word communities intentionally, because every identity we serve represents a community with power, beauty, and resilience. Our practice is fully telehealth, Colorado-based, and rooted in affirming, intersectional care. As a proud professional athlete, I understand what it means to exist at the intersection of multiple identities in spaces that were not always built for you. That knowledge is not incidental to my clinical work — it is central to it. Path2Peace is a space that not only acknowledges these realities, but supports and empowers the communities impacted by them. I created Path2Peace because I know what it feels like to walk into a space and immediately wonder whether you're truly welcome there. This practice is my answer to that feeling: a fully telehealth practice in Colorado built on the belief that clients from marginalized communities deserve therapists who share their lived experience — not just clinicians who've attended a training about them. This practice is growing, and I'm excited to connect with clients who are ready to begin their journey and therapists who are ready to practice in a space that honors everything they are.
We use a process of looking at the imagination, loose associations, and dream material to help integrate subconscious depths with conscious material. The invisible is welcome and we will work best to support you. Surprise us with the breadth of the unknown. We work with individuals, not issues.
We are a group of well-rounded professionals with a variety of approaches to support you during this exciting and challenging time of your life. We recognize it can be hard to find a good fit in a counselor, and we pride ourselves on being down-to-earth and real.
Do you feel sad, overwhelmed or stuck? Are you facing a difficult life transition or maybe you are struggling in your relationship? The circumstances of life can leave us feeling alone and uncertain of what lies ahead. We are more than our problems. We were not designed to face these deep challenges alone. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, stress, aging, family conflict or life transitions, I’m here to work with you. In our deeply isolated and atomized society, seeking help can be a radical act. It can also require a leap of faith; you are trusting that someone you do not know will be able to help you navigate the challenges you face. By being here, you have already begun the work that will set you on a path toward greater connectedness and contentment. My passion is helping and together we will co-create ways for you to find hope, meaning, identify patterns, overcome obstacles and develop a pathway to meet your goals. I work with adolescents age 16 through adults offering individual, couples and family counseling. I aim to create a safe and compassionate space to help you understand your experiences and relationships with greater ease and more joy. Deep, loving and mutually gratifying relationships can happen in many configurations. In a non-judgmental way, I work to support you in having the relationships you want to have with the people you love.
