My name is Jennifer Koch (She/Her). I am a 30 year experienced somatic mind-body oriented therapist who provides support for adolescents and adults moving through issues related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, sexual abuse survivors, medical trauma, falls/injuries, car accidents, substance use, grief/loss, LGBTQIA+ and other life transitions. Clients reach out for many reasons. Some are noticing distressing memories, fears, worry, or sadness impacting their relationships, employment, and sleep. Sometimes parents reach out concerned about their teen or college student seeming more withdrawn or overwhelmed at school/college or home. Some clients are feeling pressure to be perfect and keep up with life’s demands. Some are feeling stuck and unable to move their life forward and accomplish their personal or professional goals. I believe wholeheartedly in the resilience and capacity of our nervous systems to heal and move beyond past/current challenges we face with the right support. Please email me or call to schedule a free 15 minute telephone consultation call to explore if we are a good match for the support you are needing at this time. If so, we will schedule your initial visit in-person or via telehealth.

The clients who tend to do best with us are people who are looking for support that fits their individual needs while still allowing them to live at home and stay connected to their everyday lives. Many are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or emotionally drained and are looking for guidance and structure to help them feel more stable. We provide weekly individual therapy, medication management, and a structured Intensive Outpatient Program, allowing clients to receive the level of care that best matches where they are. We work with children, adolescents, and adults who may be experiencing anxiety, mood changes, trauma, stress, or difficulty coping with daily challenges. Our program is a good fit for people who are open to participating in therapy, learning practical coping skills, and working collaboratively with a treatment team. Clients do not need to have everything figured out, just a willingness to engage and take steps toward feeling better. If you or your family are looking for flexible, comprehensive mental health care that can grow and change with your needs, our program may be a good fit.

You might feel torn between what you want and what everyone else expects from you. You try to make the right choices, keep the peace, and be there for everyone, yet you are left feeling anxious, guilty, and unsure of your own needs. I work with women who feel stuck in relationships, career decisions, and life transitions, and who want to understand themselves more clearly and set healthier boundaries. My work is grounded in CBT, Mindfulness, EMDR, strengths-based therapy, and Trauma Informed care. I pay close attention to the mind-body connection because it often reveals what words cannot. Our goal is to help you feel more like yourself, more confident in your decisions, and more connected to what you truly want. I show up with honesty, compassion, and a little humor. I will support you, challenge you, and call out the patterns that keep showing up so you can stay focused on what matters to you. You want better relationships with your partner, your family, and most importantly, with yourself. Life sometimes places us in situations that we feel we may not be able to handle alone. As your therapist it would be my honor to join you in navigating the challenges you face. I see each client as a whole person rather than as a collection of symptoms and work with you to understand how you got to where you are and how to get to where you’d like to be. I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ related issues, Anxiety, OCD, GAD, Agoraphobia, Panic Disorder, ADHD, ASD, and Depression. I am also currently accepting clients in search of Pre-Surgical Evaluation for Gender Affirming Surgery (GAS) Regardless of your presenting concern, I approach therapy as a collaboration that allows us each to share our expertise; mine in psychological theory and your expertise in yourself and your unique needs. This philosophy shapes our therapy space as we determine what type of environment works best for you, whether that be more structured or free-flowing. Sessions may range from activities that target specific behaviors to more broad discussions about your overall life and sense of self to help us better understand your experience. It is my firmest belief that everyone is capable of change. My role is to help you explore what that looks like for you and to help you to live a happier and more fulfilled life.

Your body holds the wisdom to heal. As a body-centered, mindfulness-based psychotherapist, I blend practices from the East and West, evidence-based interventions with spirituality, movement with introspection. I work with highly sensitive, empathic clients to help them build healthier relationships, let go of substances and patterns that no longer serve them, improve self-esteem, find freedom from anxiety and depression, and come home to their bodies. I believe in the healing power of embodiment to help my clients recover. In my work, there is always space for vulnerable moments, profound realizations, uninhibited emotions, and very often, deep belly laughs. As a fellow traveler along the path, I understand profound loss and trauma. With an extensive background in substance abuse and trauma treatment, I get that mental health challenges can take over your life. Using a holistic and tailored approach, I will work with you to treat the underlying causes of substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and other symptoms of trauma. As a body-centered psychotherapist, I take a “bottom-up” or “embodied” approach to trauma-focused modalities, including EMDR. I also offer Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy for additional support in treating treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, C-PTSD, and other trauma symptoms. If you want to break free from the symptoms of trauma, begin a healing journey, or simply improve your overall well being, I’d love to help you get there.

Working as an independent provider giving psychiatric care from my office, White Hart PMH, I help students who struggle with depression, anxiety, and attention deficit disorder and provide understanding of the progression and management of these conditions improving the overall quality of personal, academic, and professional life by bringing together physiologic (medications management), psychologic (psychotherapy support, cognitive processes, mindfulness), and lifestyle (nutrition as medicine, physical activity strategies). I find working with college students and young adults very rewarding recognizing I was once in the same place as you. I understand how challenging it can be to maintain the demands of college especially true when coping with depression, anxiety, and cognitive performance issues. These experiences lead to feeling overwhelmed and make keeping up with schoolwork difficult. If you are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and performance issues, an assessment and an individualized treatment plan can help.

The Kairos Wellness Collective is committed to delivering quality holistic care for clients experiencing, but not limited to, OCD and Anxiety. The Kairos Wellness Collective believes in treating the whole person --- mind, body, and spirit. OCD and Anxiety Disorders have magnified in our community since our small city has been stressed by the pandemic, the fires, and King Soopers shootings. Each client has their own unique struggles and a distinct road to recovery. Rather than ask our clients to bounce around individual offices for their care, our center aims to bring practitioners together in a holistic space that both honors client confidentiality but also streamlines communication between practitioners by using shared health records software. Client care specialists take baseline assessments of OCD upon intake into the collective, and every two months, our specialists will continue to assess measurable progress in the treatment of OCD and anxiety. Kairos Wellness Collective features diverse modalities including Chinese Medicine, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and Coaching (KAP & KAC), Yoga Therapy, Play Therapy, Forest Bathing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family Therapy. While utilizing diverse approaches, all approaches featured at the center are evidence-based treatments for OCD and Anxiety disorders. We specialize in treating the college-age population and look forward to supporting you to your optimal mental health during this pivotal time in your lives!

Are you your own worst critic? You are the first one to point out your faults, and a part of you continues to feel like you’re not doing enough. Do you put the needs of others before your own - feeling that sick-to-your-stomach guilt when saying “no”? Do you find yourself escaping in work, hobbies, and relationships to avoid sitting with your thoughts and feelings? If these feel familiar, I am with you, and I would love to be a support for you. Let’s quiet that inner critic that can be so very loud, and make space for a voice with a bit more kindness. Let's work together towards more self-trust, self-compassion and self-esteem. I take a very relational approach to therapy. I want our time to feel like an exhale - a space where you can show up as you are, share openly, & feel understood. I enjoy bringing my personality into the space with humor and shared interests. Clients who work with me share that I am warm, thoughtful and compassionate, while also creating a space for growth. If you are interested in working together, please reach out for a free consultation. Don't see your concern listed in my profile? Let's chat and explore whether we would be a good match in working together.
