*Telehealth/video sessions I have spent most of my career working as a therapist in a college counseling center. I am very familiar with all the challenges that being a student and balancing a new life bring. Becoming who you are going to be -while feeling and balancing all the things can seem so overwhelming! I work well with students who are struggling with fear, anxiety (social and other), relationships, old memories, trauma, recovering from sexual assault, past abuse, family conflict, low self esteem, worthlessness, self harm, eating difficulties, existential crisis, coming out-LGBTQ, and multicultural issues. My students tend to learn who they are and what matters to them, how to feel more peaceful, more joyful, more at ease, and more self loving. They often learn how to communicate better, say no, sleep at night, and have healthier relationships with others. I partner a lot with people who are healing from PTSD, or are grieving and have suffered losses as well. A lot of my clients say they feel more courageous, more at home in their body, more content being themselves and trusting of themselves after we work together. They feel empowered and comfortable being who they are. Although I am a private pay practice, please ask me about my student discount.I have a passion for working with students. The last 10 years I focused more on the HS level with more personal issues that were affecting students' ability to focus on their classes. I got a reputation as someone who kept their secrets and helped them sort out who they are, esp. around issues of gender disphoria, sexual identity, and depression that frequently accompanies the struggle of self acceptance and showing ones' authentic self to others. I practice with authenticity and meet each individual where they are currently. I have been in practice for over 20 years and enjoy working with graduate and undergraduate students. Many of my student clients have been interested in reducing anxiety or depression symptoms, working through family, friendship or relationship issues, or simply having a safe place to talk with someone outside of their support circle about a current transition or struggle.

Hawk's Nest Counseling is nestled on an 11 acre hobby farm. We offer a unique setting incorporating Nigerian dwarf goats, chickens and cows as well as a therapy dog. All of the animals on the farm have been hand raised with therapeutic purposes in mind. Our clients have a unique opportunity to walk and talk on the nature trail, chat while walking a goat or just lounging in the variety of outdoor sitting spaces. Heart Stone Therapeutic Healing (HSTH) was founded in 2020 as an individual, private practice. HSTH transitioned into a private, group practice in 2022. The mission of HSTH is to provide trauma-informed, person-centered, & Self-led therapy & coaching services through a holistic perspective.
