Margot brings a warm and interactive style to her psychotherapeutic practice, which can best be described as “eclectic,” as she believes that not one type of therapy is right for everyone. Pulling from psychodynamic (insight-oriented) psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness/meditation, and somatics (the integration of body/mind/spirit), Margot will tailor her practice to people’s individual needs depending on the particular issues they would like to address in therapy. Margot is committed to serving traditionally marginalized communities including people of color, queer and transgender/gender non-conforming people, poly and kink identified people, and people with disabilities. We specialize in supporting individuals with anxiety/mood concerns, helping navigate and improve intimate and family relationships, guiding through life transitions, and caring for those suffering from issues rooted in systemic racial oppression, socioeconomic barriers, LGBTQIA+ concerns, cultural/spiritual differences, and more. However, please know that our doors are open to all individuals seeking therapeutic support.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a M.S.W from University of California, Berkeley School of Social Work, and a BA from Connecticut College. I have a background working in various settings with children, young adults, and families in the child welfare system in CA, in various hospital social work settings here in Boston, and in college mental health. In my therapy work, I employ a strengths-based approach and work to help patients recognize and build upon their own existing strengths, supports, coping skills, and resilience in order to manage during challenging times. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and chasing after my dog. Pronouns: She, her, hers. I work especially well with individuals who are accessing therapy for the first time and need a safe space to learn about the process. I am certified in EMDR and can be helpful to those looking to explore past trauma and its impact on their current functioning.

My name is Kristina and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker located in the Greater Boston area. My approach is to be authentic, non-traditional and meet clients where they are in their journey. I am specially skilled in a harm reduction framework and provide therapy without judgement. I also use an equity-focused lens and bring social justice into my whole-person approach. My flow is to allow the client to drive the sessions and encourage them to come with whatever version of themselves that they see fit. I have several years of experience working as a therapist in a community health center, working on an addiction team, primary care teams and providing group therapy. My group work experience has been running creative coping (art-based skills) groups, women’s groups and addiction/recovery groups. Most of my clinical work has consisted working with those with a history of chronic homelessness, individuals with prolonged institutional care histories, poly-substance use and severe mental health complexities. These experiences have led me to believe that therapy needs to be decolonized and more authentic to the client and therapist. If you think this ideology is a good match for you, feel free to reach out to inquire about services.
I am a strengths-based therapist with an active, collaborative style, and a solution focus. I worked in college mental health centers for years before opening a private practice, and I enjoy working with adolescents, emerging adults, and young adults on the wide variety of issues that they present with. I am also a certified addictions counselor (CADC-II) and I often work with young people who are either questioning their alcohol and drug use, or who are trying to abstain from substances or other addictive behaviors. I have been practicing psychotherapy since 2003, and more recently earned my doctoral degree in counseling and sport psychology at Boston University, so I also commonly work with student-athletes and high-achieving clients.
