Alex (he/him) is a Mental Health Counselor who believes that everyone’s voice deserves to be heard and that we have the ability to thrive when proper attention is given to our mind, body, and soul. Oftentimes, our voices are buried underneath preconceived notions bestowed upon us from others and even ourselves. Alex has a passion for working with individuals to discover their voice, explore and evaluate their values, examine their personal and professional relationships, and ultimately help people find peace within the context of their lives. Alex utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach using skills obtained from a plethora of working environments. While primarily utilizing a strength based, person-centered approach, Alex is also proficient in the teachings of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Systems therapy, among other modalities. Alex utilizes these approaches to help individuals assess their needs and identify which strategies may be most fruitful.

Hi, I’m Ben Borkan, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Gestalt Therapist. I primarily work with couples using Crucible® Therapy and Gestalt Therapy. However, I occasionally see individuals who are looking to work on their own relationships. I did not initially start out seeing couples. I began my career in wilderness therapy, where I guided groups of young adults and saw the impact of social relationships on individuals’ development, both from family systems and also in the healing work that can be accomplished in a group setting. My work in wilderness therapy inspired me to pursue clinical social work at Smith College School for Social Work where I received my MSW. In the past decade I have worked in a variety of settings, practicing various modalities with individuals, couples, families and groups. Therapy combines both my passion for learning and my desire to help others grow. Gestalt and Crucible Therapy are two approaches I find most empowering both personally and professionally. While different, each approach is strengths-based and takes a holistic and real view of people, and how relationships and marriage work. They are also backed with research and evidence that supports their effectiveness in helping people with their relationships. I received my Certificate in Gestalt Therapy at Gestalt Institute of the Rockies in Golden, CO where I learned how to work with people, including myself, to rewire obstacles to authenticity and intimacy. More recently, I began training in Crucible® Therapy; an approach that incorporates neuroscience to help people move past projections, behaviors, and thoughts that inhibit intimacy. I take pride in the work I do and do “the work” from these approaches in my personal life. I want to share what I have learned to help people experience similar sustained and meaningful change in their relationships.
I specialize in working with individuals who are questioning or needing support around gender identity, anxiety, and family conflict related to gender identity. I function from a strengths-based, neurodiversity affirming approach using a combination of mindfulness, IFS, narrative and family systems approaches. Current openings in group and for short-term around gender transition/coming out. Licensed to see clients in MA, ME and NH
I don't know everything, but I do know how anxiety, perfectionism, and OCD can easily take over. Whether you're managing overwhelming anxiety, intrusive thoughts, phobias, OCD, or perfectionism, I can help—and real progress is possible. I help college students and young adults navigate anxiety with proven, practical tools that bring meaningful change. As a licensed therapist in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Massachusetts, and North Carolina, I bring over 15 years of experience to my work. I use evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to create treatment plans tailored to your specific needs and goals. My style is supportive, straightforward, and focused on action. Whether you’re feeling stuck, burned out, or unsure of what to do next, we’ll work together to help you move forward—with confidence. You don’t have to let anxiety run the show. If you are ready to get to work and make changes please reach out. Let’s take the next step—together.
Therapy can be a space for learning about yourself, healing emotional pain, and changing patterns that aren’t working for you. Are you struggling with anxiety or depression, a relationship issue, or difficulty with eating? Are you dealing with sexual orientation or gender identity, and in the process of coming out? I have been working as a therapist, especially with young adults, for many years. We will work together to explore what’s happening in your life and to help you change yourself and your circumstances. Feel free to reach out so we can talk by phone before setting up a meeting. I look forward to connecting with you!

Hi! In therapy, I help young adults with a variety of challenges including self-esteem, anxiety, OCD, and alcohol use. If you are thinking about starting therapy, I offer a free consult to discuss your needs and availability. I generally see clients in the afternoons and evenings from my office in West Barnstable, but offer virtual availability as well. If you think I could be a good fit for you, I'd love to hear from you.
Hi! I'm Yasmine. I work clinically with adolescents, teenagers, and young adults grappling with issues ranging from anxiety to trauma to cultural identity shifts. Therapy creates a space to better understand ourselves and the way our past impacts our present. In sessions, I work with clients to uncover patterns that contribute to an overall feeling of dissatisfaction in life. This provides the roadmap to help clients build a life that feels full, joyful, and meaningful. Clients tell me that I am warm, non-judgemental, and bring a welcome sense of humor into sessions. Therapy can be hard work. But it is work that I love doing and something that I take very seriously. My practice is informed by my interest in psychology, sociology, anthropology, and feminist studies. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Brown University and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. In the past decade, I have lived in Senegal, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Lebanon, and I bring a multicultural perspective into the therapeutic space.
Liza Gold, LCSW is a NY, MA, and NJ State licensed psychotherapist who specializes in helping young adults. She has extensive clinical training and is certified in Dialectic-Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy. Liza does not believe in a “one theory fits all” approach. Instead, she is an integrative and interactive therapist that will work with your specific needs. Liza is known for her challenging, yet supportive and humorous approach. She believes therapy should be rewarding not because it enables a continuation of how life has been, but rather because it inspires gentle challenge and change for the future.
Welcome! Most of my clients are learning to be kinder to themselves, more present , and more intentional as they navigate mental health issues. They are generally curious and sensitive people who want support and validation to heal.
With over 25 years of experience as a community-based social worker—and the last 7 years in private practice—I’ve developed a deep capacity for listening, supporting, and, most importantly, healing. My approach is designed to help people navigate anxiety that often arises from life’s unexpected challenges, whether big or small. I’m certified in EMDR and incorporate a range of complementary therapeutic methods tailored to each individual. If you find yourself struggling with issues that others—or even you—might dismiss as minor, it may be time to strengthen your skills and move beyond survival into a life where you can truly thrive.
