Hi! In therapy, I help young adults with a variety of challenges including self-esteem, anxiety, OCD, and alcohol use. If you are thinking about starting therapy, I offer a free consult to discuss your needs and availability. I generally see clients in the afternoons and evenings from my office in West Barnstable, but offer virtual availability as well. If you think I could be a good fit for you, I'd love to hear from you.
Hi, I work with people who feel stressed out or who are having reactions to difficult or traumatic experiences. I especially enjoy helping people process experiences unique to the LGBTQIA+ community. I have over 15 years of experience and specialized training in EMDR (a treatment for trauma) and CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). Working with me feels like a collaborative conversation where I provide warmth and compassion as we strive to better understand the things that have been weighing you down. Hi! My name is Katie Kalina, a licensed independent clinician with over 6 years of experience. I believe that everyone deserves to be heard and healed, and that as your therapist, it's my job to meet you exactly where you're at. One of my specialties is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Eye movement (or other bilateral stimulation) is used to work on one memory at a time for the mind to heal. I have worked with individuals and groups of all ages, from children to teens and adults through anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, emotional abuse, body image issues, relationship issues, and anger management. As your therapist, I will make it my mission to make you feel at home in our sessions. Once we meet, I will help you set goals and devise a plan that will make you transform in the ways that you wish to. Looking forward to completing this journey with you and bringing you ongoing success. I've been practicing for 12+ years and in recent years have realized that I love working with individual women 15+yo, so I began catering my practice ONLY to this population! Please check out my website - I hope it will answer many of your questions, but please reach out to me by phone or email with any additional questions. Also, though you can book an appointment directly through my website and I try to keep those options updated, please contact me if you'd like to make an appointment but none of the times listed work for you. This has been an incredibly difficulty time dealing with world/US events in addition to school and life transitions and I'd be glad to help you navigate whatever areas of life are bringing you to counseling at this time.
There is no problem too big or too small that can’t be improved with another perspective. There is no goal that can’t be reached with hard work, support and humor. In my 10 years as a Social Worker, I have worked with my clients during difficult times, various transitions and everyday life stressors. I also have experience working with individuals and families impacted by intellectual disabilities. I love hearing stories: about your day, your family, the good, the bad and everything in between. Through hearing the patterns and outlining your goals, we pick a framework together that will help you achieve whatever you put your mind to. I use evidence based practices as a guide and together we figure out the best fit for you. We’ll start with whatever story brought you in to seek help, in as little or as much detail as you feel comfortable sharing. Then we will discuss what your goals of therapy are and what clinical tools sound like they have the best chance of getting you there. We create a vision together, draw a road map, and get to work.

I have been working with college students for over 15 years. I understand that adjusting to a new phase in life can be challenging and overwhelming. As a licensed mental health counselor I will help you navigate through this difficult time.
I create an environment which promotes safety and comfort in a way that is respectful and helpful. I work with the client at their own pace and we decide together what goals they want to address. Treatment is individually tailored to support clients managing daily stressors and coping with symptoms of anxiety, depression, chronic disease, relationship issues and grief. My goal is to work with clients to identify strengths and to develop different coping strategies that will help to facilitate a positive outcome.
I create a positive and empathetic environment where you can feel validated and empowered. My approach is to support you in breaking cycles to create healthier patterns of behavior. Together, we can explore how intergenerational patterns of trauma may inform and repeat in your life and learn how to shift the narrative. I can help in learning techniques for better communication and boundary setting, as well as how to put yourself first. I specialize in trauma-informed care, including complex, childhood, and sexual trauma. I focus on PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, and gender identity and sexuality. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including IFS, psychodynamic, relational therapy, and mindfulness practice.

Hi! My name is Rachel Hammond, LPC, LMHC, ATR. I am a licensed counselor and registered art therapist currently serving women virtually in Massachusetts and Louisiana. The journey looks different for everyone and, with that in mind, I tailor my work to include a variety of modalities. I integrate mindfulness practice, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) approaches into sessions, incorporating the whole self as a means to heal. Progress isn’t always linear; however, I do believe we all inherently have within us the ability to heal and grow. I take great care in helping women overcome anxiety and self-doubt, serving as a guide for my clients to dig deeper and explore strategies to lead aligned, fulfilling lives.
For over 25 years I have worked as a social worker, life coach and therapist with children, adolescents and adults. Since I was a child I knew that I wanted to be a counselor helping others in their time of need. At some point in life's journey you may experience a time where you feel you may benefit from some extra support and guidance, let me help you on the road to hope and healing. I believe in a mutual therapeutic relationship working together as a team towards the client's goals. Starting therapy and sharing issues that have become challenging is a hard and yet courageous step in your healing process. As a therapist I am honored to be able to share in this journey and hold the emotions that come with this. I consider myself to be an eclectic therapist, taking into consideration the individuals uniqueness and needs before implementing techniques and strategies. I use an honest and direct approach in a non-judgemental and compassionate way. With the help of different modalities CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused and EMDR I can help you find a path toward inner peace and joy.
Pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood can bring unexpected emotional shifts - anxiety, guilt, sadness, or changes in identity and relationships. If you're feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, you're not alone - and you don’t have to navigate it alone, either. With advanced training in perinatal and postpartum mental health, I'll work to help you feel more like yourself again. Together, we’ll create space for what you’re feeling and build tools to manage it. When helpful, we can incorporate movement-based practices to support nervous system regulation and body-based healing. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where therapy feels both meaningful and manageable. When you’re ready, I’m here. Reach out to schedule an intro call - I’d be honored to support you.
PVD Psychological Associates (PVD Psych) is a private psychology practice on the East Side of Providence, Rhode Island. Our mission is to provide the greater Rhode Island area with exceptional therapy, offering cutting edge and research-supported treatment by a team of highly trained therapists. We offer therapy for adults, college students, and adolescents struggling with anxiety, school/career concerns, eating disorders, infertility and women's health issues, and relationship difficulties. PVD Psych is a LGBTQIA-affirmative practice, and is one of few Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island LGBTQ Safe Zone certified providers. We strongly believe that everyone has the right to respectful and affirming, high quality care. My areas of specialization and interest include: women's issues, depression, anxiety, stress management, and working with LGBTQIA-identified individuals and family members. I practice primarily from a relational-dynamic perspective, though I also incorporate techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and narrative approaches to address and tailor treatment to the unique and individual needs of each client. In my work as a therapist, I focus on understanding early experiences and how psychological well-being can be fostered through relationships. I believe change and healing come through relationships: our relationships with ourselves, as well as our relationships with others. I view therapy as a collaborative process that allows both therapist and client to grow and change. My clients describe me as an empathetic, active listener who approaches their concerns with caring, respect, pragmatism, and sometimes, humor. I'm honored that you're considering working with me and I would be happy to answer any questions that you may have. Please feel free to contact me.
