Hi I'm Julien (they/them)! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in the state of Massachusetts. I am a queer therapist of color who is very passionate about working with my community. You can expect sessions with me to be client centered, affirming, and empowering. I use a combination of DBT, narrative therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT) to assist clients from everything to identity development and trauma processing, to relationships, anxiety, and school stress.
I provide identity-affirming therapy to adults with intersecting marginalized identities, including (but not limited to!) folks who are queer, trans, neurodivergent, disabled, kinky, non-monogamous, as well as other marginalized identities. I also enjoy working with those who previously had poor experiences with therapy, first time therapy clients, young adults, and those who feel “different.”
Much of my work focuses on supporting clients as they navigate identity, relationships, and life transitions. While I welcome individuals from all backgrounds, I have particular experience supporting Young Adults and Asian American clients, especially those balancing multicultural identities, family expectations, and cultural values. My therapeutic approach has been informed by work in emergency units, inpatient settings, and college campuses. I focus on meeting you where you are and creating a space that feels safe, supportive, and collaborative. Together, we identify goals that matter to you and explore patterns or concerns you’d like to understand more deeply or approach differently. I value open communication and believe growth often happens when we gently step into discomfort. I integrate evidence-based approaches while staying mindful of how your unique experiences have shaped your perspective and sense of self. Sessions are intentional and structured, with an emphasis on insight, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
"When I discover who I am, I'll be free."-Ralph Ellison. I believe that many of the challenges that inhibit us from achieving our goals are related to the difficulty in knowing ourselves and how we can maximize our strengths in order to meet the challenges we face. I believe that no matter what your presenting issue, awareness of our own goals, values, and strengths are critical. It is my goal to help clients cultivate self-awareness in order to achieve their therapeutic goals. I am a clinical social worker who specializes in working with college-age students and young adults. Using a collaborative approach, I work with clients to develop a shared understanding of the goals and preferred outcomes for therapy. I draw on many theories including cognitive-behavioral therapy, liberation health, feminist, and multicultural theories. In working with clients I strive to address the personal, institutional, and cultural factors that might be affecting a client's presentation. If you have any questions for me, or think we may be a good fit, please reach out today. I prefer initial contact to be through email, however if you do call, please be sure to leave a detailed voicemail.
Whether facing in-the-moment or long term concerns, therapy provides a unique and professional third-party perspective. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and I am a proud queer therapist with a deep commitment to supporting LGBTQIA+ clients through both internal struggles and the very real weight of societal pressures. I have worked across a range of settings, including health promotion, Mass General Brigham, and group practice. I draw from an eclectic blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Humanistic Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Feminist Therapy—tailoring my approach to what fits you. I hold a Master's in Psychology from Boston College, where I have returned as an adjunct professor of the practice. I bring that same teaching orientation into my work with clients—helping you understand the skills, frameworks, and coping strategies behind what we explore together. My priority is to help you find relief as soon as possible, and to understand the deeper roots of what brought you here in order to sustain feeling better. I view sessions less as a clinical appointment, and more like an honest conversation with someone genuinely in your corner. I'd love to connect—feel free to reach out to schedule a consultation together!

Hi, I’m Lyla, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the owner of Mindnest Health, a telehealth psychiatry practice serving Massachusetts. I know that reaching out for mental health support can feel overwhelming especially when you’re already trying to manage school, responsibilities, relationships, and everything else life throws at you. Many of the students I work with come in feeling anxious, burnt out, or just not like themselves anymore, and aren’t always sure where to start. My approach is to create a space where you can feel comfortable, heard, and supported without judgment. I focus on medication management for anxiety, depression, and trauma, and I work collaboratively with you (and your therapist, if you have one) to find a treatment plan that actually fits your life. You don’t have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I’m here to help you take that next step.

I specialize in guiding clients through patient-centered and solution-focused therapy to achieve lasting change. As we grow and develop life throws at us a series of experiences and challenges. We learn to navigate our environment and relationships through these experiences. As a therapist I have the utmost respect for the ways in which people have approached their lives. It is not my goal to tell someone how to live. My role is to provide a relationship and a dedicated time to think openly about your experience. Sometimes we lose sight of the meaning and spend time trying to convince ourselves of something that may no longer fit. Through empathy and playfulness, I hope to create a space in which people feel safe to explore new ways of being and thinking. I am interested in both what you say and how you say it: the lyrics and the music. We will work together to find new ways of making meaning out of what life offers. In our first meeting I will be very curious to learn about your life and the challenges you are experiencing. We will discuss how you approach your life and identify ways in which you may struggle and succeed in facing difficulties. I will share feedback with you towards the end of the session and spend time planning future steps. I have worked in college and university mental health centers for over 10 years and look forward to continuing my work with students in my private practice.

Hi, I'm Elizabeth and I'm so glad you're here! Therapy doesn't have to be stiff or serious all the time. In fact, I believe feeling comfortable enough to be your full, unfiltered self– including laughing, swearing, crying, or just sitting quietly– is where the real work happens. I use humor, compassion, & a deep respect for your lived experience to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are. A big part of my work is helping folks build a better relationship with their bodies- whether you're fat, thin, in between, transitioning, aging, disabled, or just feeling disconnected from yourself. I work with people of all ages! I am trained in EMDR and also pull from modalities like CBT, DBT, and IFS. I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach; you’re not a checklist, you're a complex, layered person. I approach body image through the lens of fat acceptance and body liberation. Together we can explore what it means to live in your body without shame, pressure, or apology. Therapy with me is collaborative, affirming, and shaped by your needs, goals, and pace. As a queer person myself, I understand the importance of feeling seen, safe, & understood. If you're looking for a therapist who can hold the hard stuff, laugh with you through the weird stuff, and support you in building a life that actually feels like yours- let’s talk!
I provide an inclusive, trauma-informed setting for clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, burnout, stress, mood swings, and other challenges. I will help you feel seen, understood, and respected throughout your care.
I specialize in working with teens and young adults. I have a strong background in cognitive behavioral therapy but tend to take a more eclectic and collaborative approach in order to tailor the therapy experience to each specific client’s needs and goals. I am here to offer a safe space that is filled with genuine compassion and empathy. It is my goal that you always feel seen and heard in the therapy room. Together, we can discover what it is that you need in order to cope with difficult experiences, heal from past or present trauma, and grow into exactly the person you want to be.
