As a licensed clinical psychologist, I have experience working with individuals of various backgrounds including socioeconomic status, race/ethnicity, religion, gender identity, and sexual orientation. I've worked in college counseling centers, outpatient clinics, and community mental health centers. I've also worked extensively with students who have special education services. I strive to meet each of my clients where they are and engage in a collaborative process to determine goals for counseling. Together, we can process experiences, explore curiosities, and engage in questioning all in an effort to find solace and resolution. My practice is via telehealth only with availability Monday through Saturday. I have immediate openings available. Email is the fastest way to communicate if you are interested in a free 15 minute consultation to determine if we're a "good fit."

Just about everything in life ebbs and flows which at times can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed and defeated. It is important to remember that although life may feel heavy at this moment, it does get better and you don’t have to feel ashamed of your emotions. You are entitled to recognize and accept the individual that you are right now, while also feeling inspired and motivated by the individual you envision yourself to be in the future. As a clinician, I will meet you where you are, and help you build the self-determination to seek out what may be weighing on your heart. Release what no longer serves you and feel empowered to step into your truth. Much of my career has been trauma-focused, working with adolescents and young adults, to help build self-awareness and understand the mind, body connection. I also work with those struggling with racial, multicultural, and gender identity concerns, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem/image, emotional distress, and family/relationship dynamics. My goal is not to place you in a box, but to use multiple treatment modalities that are tailored to your individual needs including: trauma-focused, psychoanalysis, solution-focused, CBT, and mindfulness practices. My approach to therapy is holistic, strengths-based, relatable and honest, with a sprinkle of humor to brighten your day! If you are ready and willing to give yourself the grace to be unapologetically you, then I am here as your teammate to cheer you on through this journey. I will always honor the person that you are today, as you work towards becoming the person you strive to be tomorrow. *waitlist only at this time*

Deciding to see a therapist requires awareness and regard for oneself. I have deep respect for what has brought you here, and this will form the foundation of our work together. Perhaps you seek therapy now because of a crisis that is presenting new challenges or bringing up old, unresolved problems. Or you now feel ready to address a long-standing pattern that has caused much difficulty and pain over time. Your struggles may be affecting not only your relationships with others but also how you relate to yourself. My job is to help you expand your capacity for what you can do alone. I offer a combination of psychoanalytic and CBT/DBT informed approaches while being mindful of both the universality and cultural individuality of our experiences. I have worked extensively with a range of people, from those in the throes of PTSD or addiction to ones dealing with transitions or looking for greater connection in relationships. I hold the conviction that exploration of the past is necessary as it influences and shapes our circumstances, while at times being present to our anxieties and resources in the moment is crucial. By coming here, you have already begun your work. If you think that I may be of help, let us have a conversation. It would be my privilege to talk with you.

The best mental health care occurs when the patient's needs are prioritized and deeply integrated into the treatment plan. Whether you're dealing with anxious thoughts, phobias, learning difficulties, physical symptoms tied to mental health, depression, grief, or feeling like a dark cloud is always blocking out your light, help is available. By creating a judgment-free environment that fosters safe and open communication, we’ll work together to carefully assess your or your loved one’s unique situation and develop the most effective care plan. I believe the key to addressing many unwanted feelings and behaviors lies in combining holistic and pharmacological approaches, including modifying one's environment, engaging in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and using medications to address chemical imbalances in the brain. As your provider, I will work diligently to create a personalized medication plan that alleviates your challenges while minimizing tolerable side effects. Additionally, using evidence-based measurement tools, we can track treatment effectiveness and make necessary adjustments along the way. I specialize in helping people to manage and recover from eating disorders and co-occurring illnesses. I believe that clients who struggle with eating disorders have inherently painful emotions which are managed by various harmful behaviors so I work collaboratively with clients, their support network, and their outpatient providers to find ways to change these behaviors and manage emotions in both the short and long term. In my outpatient practice, I see individuals of all ages and genders who struggle with a wide variety of challenges related to disordered eating, body image issues, and low self-esteem. When I'm not seeing outpatient clients, I also work full-time at a local eating disorder facility, and am able to facilitate referrals to local treatment centers as needed. I remain committed to continuing to work with clients while they need a higher level of support. In addition to in-office individual therapy, I also offer recovery coaching in the community. This can include a wide variety of support including meal coaching, food exposures, and body image improvement coaching. Please contact me for additional information.
