Psychologist
Lee, MA

I earned my PsyD (Doctor of Psychology) degree at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and I have worked in different settings including university/community counseling centers, dual diagnosis treatment centers, and psychiatric hospitals (Austen Riggs Center). I work from a psychoanalytic orientation. This approach emphasizes the importance of both past and present experiences, relationships, emotions, patterns of being, and the unconscious. While it is natural to want to move away from suffering, it is when we give it a voice that healing can begin. Though genetics can play a role in the development of psychiatric problems; symptoms are some of the ways our psyche and body deal with pain that has not been understood, contextualized, and articulated. My goal as a psychoanalytic therapist is to help my patients notice how their symptoms are not accidental experiences to dodge, but rather meaningful communications to explore. Only through this inquiry can patients tap into interpersonal and intrapersonal as well as conscious and unconscious phenomena that have shaped their life and continue to contribute to their suffering.

Pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood can bring unexpected emotional shifts - anxiety, guilt, sadness, or changes in identity and relationships. If you're feeling overwhelmed or disconnected, you're not alone - and you don’t have to navigate it alone, either. With advanced training in perinatal and postpartum mental health, I'll work to help you feel more like yourself again. Together, we’ll create space for what you’re feeling and build tools to manage it. When helpful, we can incorporate movement-based practices to support nervous system regulation and body-based healing. My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where therapy feels both meaningful and manageable. When you’re ready, I’m here. Reach out to schedule an intro call - I’d be honored to support you.

I view therapy not only as a means of reducing emotional distress but also as an approach to personal growth. However, I believe that therapy should not be a way of life and I therefore support clients in developing concrete skills, with emphasis on working with emotions: promoting a better understanding of emotions and emotion regulation. I view therapy as a collaborative process of exploration. I bring to this process an attitude of compassionate curiosity and non-judgment. I also draw on my own bi-cultural experience - I was born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic. I practice emotion-focused therapy, which emphasizes the positive, adaptive roles of emotions. Sometimes, however, due to stress, trauma or adverse life events, emotions can become a source of distress. Through empathic, collaborative exploration I help my clients identify their authentic emotional needs and develop strategies for managing and regulating distressing emotions. If you are located in Western Mass (Pioneer Valley) I also offer walking therapy and animal assisted therapy. Therapy is my 2nd career. My PhD is in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) and my therapeutic work is informed by 25+ years of research in AI and cognitive & affective science. I am thus very familiar with academic environments and draw on this knowledge when working with students, both undergraduate and graduate.

Clinical Social Work/Therapist
Newtown Square, PA

For over 25 years I have worked as a social worker, life coach and therapist with children, adolescents and adults. Since I was a child I knew that I wanted to be a counselor helping others in their time of need. At some point in life's journey you may experience a time where you feel you may benefit from some extra support and guidance, let me help you on the road to hope and healing. I believe in a mutual therapeutic relationship working together as a team towards the client's goals. Starting therapy and sharing issues that have become challenging is a hard and yet courageous step in your healing process. As a therapist I am honored to be able to share in this journey and hold the emotions that come with this. I consider myself to be an eclectic therapist, taking into consideration the individuals uniqueness and needs before implementing techniques and strategies. I use an honest and direct approach in a non-judgemental and compassionate way. With the help of different modalities CBT, Mindfulness, Solution Focused and EMDR I can help you find a path toward inner peace and joy.

Group practice
Andover, MA

Welcome to Clearview Horizons! We are an OCD/anxiety group specialty practice. There are many ways that anxiety shows up for people. The following are some common examples: perfectionism, social anxiety, body dysmorphia, health anxiety, generalized anxiety, panic attacks, trichotillomania, and hoarding. Exposure and ritual prevention is an integral aspect of our therapy. Exposures help clients change their relationship with OCD/anxiety from a fear-based perspective to a place of positive change and empowerment. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) complement the Exposure work. We offer individual therapy and also have a biweekly Adult OCD Support Group. If you have any questions and/or if you are interested in starting therapy, please contact Kim Leonte, the Director of Clearview Horizons, at: kimberly.glazier.leonte@cvhorizons.com

As a neurodivergent clinician, I have found myself particularly well suited to working with clients with ADHD, AuDHD, PTSD, PDA and/or who are autistic. I also have over a 15 years of experience working with trauma survivors and LGBTQ+ communities. Many of my clients found past experiences of talk therapy unhelpful or helpful only as “maintenance” while larger issues were neglected. I focus on two specific therapies, EMDR and IFS, that go deeper to address underlying issues. I also center the unique needs of neurodivergent clients and include ways to help manage distress and recognize stressors. For many neurodivergent clients, therapy approaches such as CBT have backfired. For example, treating autistic burnout with strategies from CBT to manage depression can actually worsen exhaustion and burnout. Similarly, using exposure therapy to address anxiety primarily caused by social and sensory issues related to ADHD or autism may cause further distress. I center neurodivergent experiences in my approach to therapy and help clients explore strategies to reduce sensory and emotional overload and recover from burnout. If you are finding yourself spending your energy just trying to get through the day, it is time to start working towards a better future. Let's work together to help you level up your life.

My intention as a psychotherapist is to create a safe and supportive environment in which people can learn and share more about themselves, and in so doing, ease their suffering and create possibilities of positive movement and change in their lives. I am grounded in a relational and psychodynamic approach. This means that I am attuned to building a respectful interactive relationship, and that I bring an awareness of the deep impact of the past on people's present lives. My practice is diverse, with a specialization in trauma focused psychotherapy. Other areas of expertise are the treatment of depression, grief and loss, anxiety, relational issues, emotional regulation, and difficulties with family of origin.
