I am a board-certified psychiatrist serving children, adolescents and adults in Massachusetts. I provide person and family-centered psychiatric and psychotherapeutic care. With a patient-focused approach, I tailor treatment plans for your unique needs to optimize your mental health and wellness. I specialize in ADHD, depression, autism and working with gender-diverse and other LGBTQ+ individuals. I believe in using a flexible and collaborative approach to treatment, helping to guide you through the hard choices of what is right for you and your mental health. I treat a variety of psychiatric disorders. I pull from many therapeutic techniques including CBT, DBT, Mindfulness, Family Therapy, Supportive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Existential Therapy, all through a psychodynamic lens. Ultimately, I believe the relationship between the clinician and the patient is the most important factor. I completed my medical school and adult psychiatry residency at the University of Colorado. I came to Boston to complete a child and adolescent fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital through Harvard Medical School. Come as you are. I hope to help.

I believe that at the heart of healing is compassionate curiosity, and I bring this approach to my practice. I believe that in therapy, a client should experience a balance of feeling challenged and actively engaged, while also feeling fully accepted and safe. I bring warmth, playfulness, genuineness, courage and openness into our sessions. I am experienced with guiding clients through recovering from traumas, anxiety, depression, addictions of any variety, navigating grief and life transitions, and relational challenges of all kinds. I have over a decade of therapeutic and clinical practice. I am Level 1 trained in IFS therapy, and also use aspects of psychoanalytical and motivational interviewing therapies. I want to hear about prior experiences you have had in therapy, both positive and negative, and what helps you feel that therapy is successful. You truly can become your own inner healer, and I'm here to show you how. No two therapist/client relationships are the same and we will tailor our therapeutic approach to meet your needs, regularly checking in and evolving as we go. I am opening to full-time practice in January 2026 and am beginning to take clients now!

I enjoy working with college and graduate students and have had many students from the colleges in Boston and the surrounding areas. I assess and treat those struggling with symptoms of anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, relationship issues, social anxiety, and weight issues. My husband is a Taiwanese immigrant and as a mother of a biracial child I am familiar with acculturation and identity struggles. I've worked in multiple weight and pediatric/adolescent clinics and many of the Boston hospitals, as well as UMASS Medical Center Worcester, and often get the feedback that clients like that I'm specific with my feedback and suggestions and don't just nod my head. Well I know human behavior, you know you best, and working together I enjoy seeing my clients lives change and being a part of their growth.

The treatment I provide is influenced by relational, attachment-based, and psychodynamic modalities. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity concerns, trauma, and stress related to work and relationships. I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds to address their presenting symptoms, as well as explore the underlying roots of these symptoms to establish long-term benefits. I believe therapy is most effective when there is a trusting and open therapeutic relationship, so we will work together to identify a meaningful approach to your care. I’m experienced in working with culturally diverse and LGBTQ populations. Prior to earning my degree in counseling, I worked with LGBTQ youth and young adults in the Boston community at a nonprofit organization dedicated to health education. I understand how difficult it can be to find a good match in therapy, I encourage you to contact me for an initial phone call, and we can discuss how we might work together.

I am a LICSW with over fifteen years of experience where I collaborate with clients to discover a resiliency within themselves. My most rewarding experiences have been with young adults who may be just beginning or those returning to college and managing the challenges that arise. I work with individuals who may experience a range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, adjusting to life transitions and those impacted by trauma and systems of oppression. I bring warmth, compassion and sometimes humor to our conversations and enjoy working with individuals who are interested in understanding more about themselves and how they move through the world.
