At Ocean Gem Psychological Care, we strive to provide outstanding clinical care to all of our patients and families. No two treatments have ever been exactly the same and that’s because of you! Each individual is unique, with distinct personalities, support systems, problems, and strengths. Each of these variables (and more) are important aspects to consider in our work together. While it is important that we discuss areas in your life that are problematic for you, we also strive to address areas of personal strength. One’s strengths may be used effectively in combating the negative aspects of one’s life and strength-based interventions can make therapy fun! We are eager to get to know you and to begin our work toward making you a healthier you!

Life is all about relationships, whether it's with yourself, your partner(s), co-workers, family, or friends. Every interaction matters. How you react, communicate, and understand yourself, shapes the way you experience the world. No one really teaches us how to thrive in relationships. I offer a space where you can break out of old patterns, gain clarity, and make meaningful progress in your life and relationships. I work with individuals and couples who are motivated to do the work and embrace change. If you are ready to invest in yourself, I am currently accepting new clients via telehealth.

The Narrative Network offers collaborative therapy for people across Massachusetts and brings therapists together for supervision, training, and ongoing relationships with the ideas and practices called narrative therapy. We believe people are more than the problems they are facing. Difficulties take shape in lives, relationships, histories, and social worlds — and therapy can create room to notice the values, knowledges, commitments, and relationships that may have become harder to see when life is difficult.
Whether you are looking to start therapy with a clear vision or here to gain insight towards your hopes from therapy, you are in the right place. Together we will identify meaningful therapeutic goals, discuss evidence-based interventions and allow you the space to process and show up as you are each session. You set the pace; I bring structure, warmth, and tools you can use to move through obstacles with more confidence and ease.
Whether you're feeling overwhelmed and isolated by the impact of past experiences, challenges in relationships, struggling with relentless worry, battling the weight of depression, facing the complexities of navigating your own relationship with food and body image, I am here to walk alongside you on your path to healing. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care, creating a safe and compassionate space where you can explore and process your experiences without judgment. We'll work towards understanding the roots of your struggles, developing coping strategies, and fostering a sense of resilience that empowers you in your daily life. Your needs are unique, and our therapeutic journey will be tailored to address them. This may include utilizing traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) interventions, or integrating more holistic yoga and mindfulness practices to provide you with practical tools to connect with your body and mind.
All of you is welcome here. At the root of my therapeutic approach is the belief that every person is worthy of compassion, support, and the experience of feeling seen. I view my role as a therapist being a mirror, a flashlight, and a map—with the destination ultimately decided by the client. I see the treatment-planning process as a unique art form. The subject of the art—the treatment goals—is determined by the client, while I offer the materials: the therapeutic modalities and tools. I draw from a variety of theories and approaches, ranging from psychotherapy and somatic therapy to parts work, CBT, and DBT, to name just a few. All of my work is approached through a cultural and trauma-informed lens, beginning with our initial call. Another essential ingredient in all of my individual and group sessions is psychoeducation. I am an active therapist, which to me means I will not only reflect what I hear you sharing but also connect it to other things you've shared; ask questions to deepen our exploration; connect your experiences to relevant theories and concepts; and, if you’d like, share skills, practices, and tools. Some of my areas of clinical strength, which may be less commonly represented in the field, include Complex PTSD (CPTSD), bipolar disorder, and ethical non-monogamy (ENM).
I have over 25 years of experience working collaboratively with people navigating life transitions. Welcome! I'm a therapist who helps college/graduate students and young professionals move from feeling anxious, stuck and unsure to secure, at ease, and fulfilled. Whether it’s feelings of uncertainty about your college and career path, struggles with self-esteem and perfectionism, or adjusting to a new medical diagnosis, you know you’re ready to make changes in your life. Many of the people I work with identify as high-achievers who have “taken all the right steps”, yet are still feeling anxious or uncertain. On paper, they are doing great and seem to have it all together, but inside they’re struggling with feelings of imposter syndrome or like they don’t know if they’re on the right path. I'm here to help you gain the tools and skills necessary to thrive in the face of challenges. Together, we will identify your goals and work collaboratively with an individualized and strengths-based approach. Through our work, we will spend some time exploring your past while also ensuring that we’re taking action-oriented steps to keep you moving forward.
