Therapists for college students near Harvard University
At times, life events can seem to control the way we feel, creating feelings of helplessness and hopelessness. Other times, you may struggle with feeling unmotivated or purposeless without any specific cause. I believe psychotherapy empowers people by understanding specific struggles while actively developing skills to create change. A key part of our work will be identifying the things that matter to you and finding ways that therapy can bring you closer to a life that is more connected with your values. I have expertise in trauma and stress, substance use, grief, and motivational issues. I have extensive experience working with people from diverse backgrounds as well as treating military service members, veterans, and their loved ones. I thoroughly enjoy the collaborative process of determining what interventions will best fit your needs and look forward to understanding your treatment goals.

Hello! As a masterās graduate from Boston University School of Medicine, with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine, I am passionate about the connection between our bodies and our minds and how to incorporate mindfulness into our daily lives. I believe that mental health is just as important as physical health and should be treated as equal! In the therapeutic space, my goal is to empower clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. I specialize in working with children and adolescents, and the unique need of obstacles that may arise in their different stages of life. Additionally, I also work with adult clients, families, and therapeutic groups. My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining various modalities like CBT, mindfulness, and narrative therapy. I use empathy and evidence-based practices to meet each client's unique needs. My work is centered around supporting individuals who are struggling with anxiety, ADHD, depression, mood disorders, behavioral concerns, and family issues. When working with children and adolescents I utilize play therapy and creative techniques to engage young clients in the therapeutic process. I aim to empower children to express themselves and work through challenges in a way that feels both natural and comfortable for them. Additionally, I am particularly attuned to the challenges and opportunities that come with transitional phases of life for adolescents and young adults. From identity exploration to navigating peer relationships and academic pressures, I provide support and guidance to help adolescents build resilience and confidence as they navigate through this season of life. For adults seeking support, I offer a collaborative and strengths-based approach focused on promoting self-awareness, personal growth, and emotional well-being. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or life transitions, I partner with clients to develop strategies for coping and thriving in all aspects of their lives. My ultimate goal as a therapist is to empower individuals and families to overcome obstacles, build resilience, and lead fulfilling and healthy lives. I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care to each individual I work with while supporting them on their journey towards mental wellness and personal growth.
I offer neuropsychological evaluations for college students. The purpose of these evaluations is to clarify the nature of students' struggles with attention, organization, or learning. Testing can be conducted in English and/or French.
I work with clients to manage how their mental well-being impacts their work. Mental health challenges can affect focus, confidence, and performance, and many of my clients experience anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, or ADHD. I also work with students and professionals who are seeking direction in their careers or navigating a transition. Together, we use evidence-based therapy (including CBT and EMDR) and practical career guidance to align your career goals with your personal well-being.
I truly enjoy working collaboratively with patients seeking help to gain insight, make changes in how they cope with stress and emotions, alter stuck patterns in their lives, and learn new, more effective ways to relate interpersonally. I would love to meet you and see if we can connect to improve whatever has been causing you pain or struggle. You may be dealing with everyday stresses of college life and demands, adjustment to a new college environment, complicated or traumatic family history, or trying to achieve relief or remain stable with significant diagnoses such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, mild to moderate eating disorders, and emotional intensity. I have extensive experience treating survivors of trauma. These experiences can lead to an array of difficulties including PTSD, dissociation, anxiety, depression, and emotional dysregulation. I am experienced at working with any of these problems/diagnoses and more. I work with each person individually to identify treatment goals and decide what approach might be the best fit. I tend to integrate treatment models in my thinking and practice, with intensive training completed in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and advanced training in psychodynamic treatment. My style is warm and non-judgmental, sensitive, deeply caring, and very appreciative of humor and creativity- these are incredible human resources. I look forward to meeting you and hope we can forge an important supportive relationship that also provides change and promotes growth in these pivotal years.

Looking forward to helping you achieve mental health by maximizing your strengths. I take a holistic approach to care that incorporates therapy with thoughtful medication management. Each individual's journey is unique, as is the way in which we process our environment(internal & external). I look forward to partnering with you. Treatment is a wellness journey, with an aim to enhance motivation and achieve clear goals. I am a firm believer in a multidimensional approach to care in order to achieve sustained wellness. My framework incorporates the understanding that we may all experience periods where life management skills alone are not enough and medication augmentation or intervention may be useful in achieving balance and wellness. I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Through direct care experience, my knowledge, motivation and passion for assisting people seeking wellness, has grown exponentially. My experience includes PMHNP Residency training in the VA Boston Healthcare System as well as inpatient Nursing Director at BIDMC.

I am a psychotherapist with 10+ years of experience providing individual therapy for adults and adolescents. I have training in most major therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, SFBT, trauma-informed treatment, etc.) and my clinical focus is on in-depth psychoanalytic therapy. People come to work with me when there is a problemāa symptom, a conflict, a traumatic experienceāthat interferes with their satisfaction in life. Common issues include anxiety, depression, self-doubt, and difficulty with love and sexuality. Psychoanalytic work aims at addressing the real causes of these problems, and can result in new ways of relating to yourself. Therapy begins with an invitation to speak freely. It is a unique opportunity to hear what our struggles are trying to say. The challenge of therapy is that there are no ready-made answers, but I find that with the right therapeutic environment, everyone can figure out what to do with their obstacles on their path. I look forward to speaking with you about working together. Feel free to get in touch by email or schedule a consultation on my helloalma.com profile. I am currently accepting new patients for telehealth and in-person sessions at my office in Brookline, and can provide services in both English and Mandarin. ęę使ēØäøęé²č”åæēę²»ē, ę”čæčęčÆē¹«!
