During my career of being a therapist for over a decade, I have found that the working relationship is pivotal for any change to happen in therapy. I take great care to foster a sense of emotional safety so exploration, processing, and developing new understandings and patterns of interaction with one’s self, others, and the world may take place. I enjoy working with undergraduate and graduate university students, young adults, and working professionals who experience difficulties with general distress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and ADHD. By using elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy, contemporary psychodynamic therapy, and emotional focused therapy I ally with people to aid them in learning more about themselves while dislodging obstacles that may be present in their lives and relationships. I am passionate about helping people who are currently feeling like they are struggling in their lives and working with them to achieve what they envision their life to be through either weekly individual or couple therapy sessions. If you desire to see lasting changes in your work, life, and your relationships, I encourage you to reach out to me, so we can talk more about what you are trying to achieve through therapy.

Accepting new clients on Tuesday evenings. You may be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood while navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, neurodevelopmental differences, trauma, or life transitions such as school or work. At times, you might feel disconnected from your body or emotions or caught in negative self-beliefs. I offer a supportive, collaborative space to build practical tools, deepen self-understanding, and feel more grounded, confident, and hopeful as you move forward. I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to help clients understand their inner experiences and build coping skills. I integrate EMDR, CBT, and DBT with mindfulness, breathwork, yoga, journaling. As a registered yoga teacher, I bring an embodied lens to therapy, helping clients reconnect with their bodies as a source of information and safety. My intention is to offer a safe, supportive space where you can explore and accept your unique self, navigate life challenges, and heal from emotional pain. I tailor interventions to each person, helping you build confidence, challenge negative beliefs, and develop skills for future stressors. My clients are aware that something is not working and are motivated for change, even if they're not sure where exactly that change starts. My clients are often very conscious of the systemic stressors that make their lives more difficult, and come to me looking for support as they navigate challenges and imagine their futures. I specialize in identity exploration, trauma-focused practice, and LGBTQIA+ mental health. I use a blend of talk therapy and drama therapy to engage my clients in reflection on their present challenges from an embodied perspective, and provide a fuller understanding of how their past shows up in their present. I bring myself into my work, and hope to challenge the old idea that therapists inherently know more than their clients. You are the expert of your own life, and I would feel honored to be invited into your world. If you are interested in learning more about how I could support you, please be in touch.

"When I discover who I am, I'll be free."-Ralph Ellison. I believe that many of the challenges that inhibit us from achieving our goals are related to the difficulty in knowing ourselves and how we can maximize our strengths in order to meet the challenges we face. I believe that no matter what your presenting issue, awareness of our own goals, values, and strengths are critical. It is my goal to help clients cultivate self-awareness in order to achieve their therapeutic goals. I am a clinical social worker who specializes in working with college-age students and young adults. Using a collaborative approach, I work with clients to develop a shared understanding of the goals and preferred outcomes for therapy. I draw on many theories including cognitive-behavioral therapy, liberation health, feminist, and multicultural theories. In working with clients I strive to address the personal, institutional, and cultural factors that might be affecting a client's presentation. If you have any questions for me, or think we may be a good fit, please reach out today. I prefer initial contact to be through email, however if you do call, please be sure to leave a detailed voicemail.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of anxiety, panic, phobias, OCD, and related disorders in college students and young adults. I also work with clients looking to effectively navigate and cope with current life stressors (e.g., work challenges, interpersonal relationships, transitions). I use evidenced-based techniques in my work with clients, and primarily from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) perspective. By emphasizing the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors clients will gain greater insight into their concerns and learn techniques for managing their anxiety and other life stressors. To target the behavioral aspects of anxiety, I will frequently incorporate exposure and response prevention (ERP) into my work to help clients to engage in exposures both during sessions and in real-world settings. I use a collaborative, personalized, and warm approach, working with clients to better understand their anxieties or challenges and encouraging them to become their own therapists over time while achieving their goals. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Bowdoin College, research assistantship at Boston University at the Family and Development Treatment Lab, doctoral studies at Boston University where I trained at their Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD), clinical internship at the VA Boston Healthcare System, and postdoctoral training at Boston Children’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I then was a staff Psychologist at the McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP), an intensive outpatient program at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Most recently, I was a staff Psychologist and Assistant Director at Emerson College’s Counseling and Psychological Services.

Hello! Thank you for your interest in starting therapy. I have a lot of experience supporting college and advanced degree students who are dealing with anxiety, OCD, and stress. I take a CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), goals-focused approach. I am licensed in Massachusetts and New York and I can see students in either state--in fact, I work with a number of students who go to school in MA but live in NY when they are not on campus and vice versa. I'd be happy to set up a time to talk so you can ask any questions that you have to see if it would be a good fit for you.
