Hi, I’m Emma! I am the proud owner of The Sensory Space. Our approach to therapy is collaborative. Together we will work to help you meet your goals and find a better understanding of yourself. We work with children, adults, families and groups. Utilizing a strength based, person centered approach helps us meet clients where they are. The goal in this work is to help clients identify strengths within themselves and develop ways to live productive and confident lives.
I welcome clients from all backgrounds and identities and hold a special commitment to affirming and uplifting the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether you’re exploring your identity, working through anxiety or depression, facing a life transition, or simply looking for more balance, I’ll meet you where you are—with warmth, curiosity, and care. I am dedicated to creating a supportive, collaborative space for adults navigating life’s challenges. I take a person-centered approach, meaning our work is guided by your experiences, needs, and goals. Therapy with me is grounded in empathy, respect, and the belief that meaningful healing happens when you feel truly seen & heard. I incorporate mindfulness and self-care practices into therapy to help you reconnect with yourself, reduce stress, and build resilience in everyday life. I believe self-care is more than a checklist—it's about honoring your needs. Above all, I aim to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel empowered to move forward in your own way, at your own pace. If that sounds like what you’re looking for, I’d be honored to work with you.

It’s exhausting to feel like the expert on your own problems but a stranger to the solution. Whether you’re worried about your relationships with those closest to you or navigating major life transitions, we’ve all felt lost at one point or another. My approach is built on the belief that change is something we make, not just something we hope will come to us. With a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and a background in Psychology and Sociology, I view your symptoms as only one piece of the puzzle. It’s your individual experience that truly guides the process. My years of working as a Case Manager have shown me firsthand how life’s stressors can pile up until they feel impossible to manage. As an LMHC, I blend gold-standard clinical practices with a unique, creative edge to help my clients combat these feelings. To bridge the gap between talk and transformation, I utilize custom-designed worksheets and art therapy tools to help you process emotions in a guided, digestible way. Whether we’re untangling relationship patterns or mapping out your next chapter in life, you’ll leave our sessions with more than just new realizations and food for thought. I will provide you with a tangible roadmap, a visual guide, to help you on this journey to transformation. You don’t need to have all the answers before you walk through my virtual door. We’re going to find those together, step-by-step and at your own pace.

I understand that life can be challenging, and I am here to guide you through those difficult times. My comprehensive psychiatric services are designed to equip you with the tools that you need to overcome obstacles and thrive. In this space, young adults can find solace and understanding during tough transitional phases. I offer a safe haven where individuals can freely express their concerns without judgment. This nurturing atmosphere is essential for those navigating the complexities of early adulthood.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults. The patients I see often come to me with issues such as anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self harm and childhood trauma. I utilize play therapy techniques for my younger patients, as well as integrating components of art and talk therapy. For adolescents and adults, I use a mixed array of techniques including Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, and Person Centered. I have a Golden Retriever, Loki, who loves to be an added support as well! I feel that it is necessary to find a great match when seeking out a therapist. It is important for the individual to feel comfortable, as therapy can be an extremely vulnerable time. I believe that building a genuine relationship is necessary for any "good work" to be done. Therapy is a joint effort, as a therapist, I believe that we are working as a team

I strive to create an atmosphere of trust, respect, and compassion that allows people to become more self-aware, to find healing, and to living a more fulfilling life. I'm very familiar with the needs and issues of undergraduate, graduate, and medical students because I worked for two years at the University Counseling Center and have had many students in my practice. I offer individual and relationship counseling and integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches and techniques based on the particular needs of each client or couple. I provide support and direction, but also find it essential to work collaboratively with my clients. And, I not only help address the specific problems clients bring to therapy, but also strive to assist them in identifying and fostering their specific strengths and abilities. I have a teletherapy only practice. I’ve worked with a large number of students via this format and it has proved very successful. Many people like it because it's so convenient, especially when they’re juggling a busy schedule or don't have transportation. I’m always glad to have an initial conversation to answer any questions you might have about teletherapy or my practice. A note about insurance and payment: Some insurances other than those listed under the finance section may be covered. Actual costs for therapy are based on your insurance's copay amounts. Most clients with insurance only pay between $10-$40 per session. If I'm not able to accept your insurance, session costs will be based on your income if you are emancipated from your parents or a graduate student. If you are still a dependent in your parent's household then your fee would be based on your parent's combined income.
