Hello! Is your relationship with yourself or important people around you diminished by problematic thoughts, feelings or behaviors? Are you having difficulty reaching goals in work, school, family or other significant areas of your life? With over 25 years of clinical experience helping adults overcome such issues, I bring a thoughtful, sensitive, accepting and thorough approach to the work. I have been effective working with a wide range of ages and backgrounds on issues such as depression, anger, anxiety, relationships, transitions, stress, impulsivity and many others. What are the unique life circumstances you've faced? Are there important parts of you that have not been sufficiently seen, heard or respected? I engage my clients in a mutual process of inquiry so as to improve self-understanding, self-esteem and satisfaction with life. I have advanced training in early loss and in the uniquely powerful technique of group. You deserve help. You may want to interview several therapists to find the right fit. I often have one or several consultation meetings to help potential clients understand how I approach treatment and how it feels to discuss concerns with me. Please feel free to contact me so that we can explore the possibility or our working together. Thank you!

If you’re a woman or queer person who seems put-together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of who you’re becoming on the inside, you’re not alone. Many of my clients describe shutting down in social settings, feeling pressure to perform, comparing themselves constantly, or wondering why things that once felt easy now feel impossibly heavy. They’re exhausted from pretending they’re fine, disconnected from their own needs, and scared by how quickly their emotions or motivation can swing. I help clients make sense of these intense inner shifts through a somatic, trauma-informed, and spiritually grounded approach. Together, we slow down enough to track what your body and emotions are trying to say, stress patterns, numbness, overthinking, people-pleasing, or the impulse to disappear. Instead of forcing insight or navigating it alone, you get a space to explore identity, relationships, boundaries, burnout, and the pressure to figure everything out. This work helps soften shame, reduce spirals, and reconnect you to what’s real and steady within you. Clients often describe feeling calmer, clearer, and more able to show up for their lives with presence and self-trust. They communicate more honestly, rest without guilt, reconnect with people they care about, and feel less ruled by anxiety or self-attack. If you’re ready to understand what’s shifting inside you, and want support that meets you with depth, compassion, and grounded tools, I’d be honored to walk with you.

Thank you for taking the time to read more about my practice! I started my career working in college counseling centers and continue to enjoy working with students for both therapy and assessment services. In my therapy practice, I use a number of mindfulness based strategies that help with depression, anxiety, performance, attention, and relationships. I also have my 200 hour yoga certification and strongly believe in the importance of mind-body wellness. My assessment practice focuses on ADHD and learning disability diagnoses. I am experienced in providing the needed documentation for students registering with their disability support offices and when taking exams such as the GRE, GMAT, and LSAT.

Whatever you're struggling with, I'm not here to save or cure you. What I can offer is support, companionship, guidance, and practical tips as you engage the simple and difficult process of dressing wounds, remembering how to draw in nourishment, and reorienting toward your own ‘true north.’ The long-term goal of this work is not to help you become more 'well-adjusted,' but more fully yourself in a world that often makes that difficult. It may be hard to hear, but that deep-in-your-bones longing really matters. You may have forgotten it, ridiculed it, buried it for any number of very sensible reasons; but I assure you it is waiting patiently for your return. That longing, that certain something that you can't seem to find anywhere? That is yours to grow into. And I would propose that that becoming, that filling in of the larger You, is essential not only to your own sanity, but to the health of all Life. In that spirit I may challenge you to look at the ways that you are evading the responsibility of becoming. But believe me, I evade too. I will regard you with tenderness and understanding even as I ask you to do the terrifying – trust yourself a little more. Fill your form. I hold a master's degree in mindfulness-based transpersonal clinical mental health counseling from Naropa University, and am licensed to practice professional counseling in New York and Colorado.

Welcome! Starting therapy is a big step. I understand how overwhelming it can be to experience anxiety, stress, or intrusive thoughts. It takes courage to seek help, and I am so glad you are here! Therapy is most effective when it is tailored to you and uses research-backed treatment. I use evidence-based methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). These therapies are supported to alleviate symptoms and empower you to reclaim your life—returning to activities that anxiety may have previously taken you away from.

I work with individual clients and couples to increase their self-awareness, self-compassion, health, wellness, and overall joy in their lives! I work with children, adolescents, and adults. I believe in each person's inherent goodness, right to individuality, and uniqueness. Each of us the keeper of our own life and only we know what is truly best for ourselves. And, we have the power to choose what is best! In the moments of indecision, when we apply love and self-compassion, we have all we need to make a decision. And sometimes, when everything falls apart, that is when perfection can set in. I work with clients with a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, sexual health concerns, relationship difficulties, parenting, infertility, postpartum, communication difficulties, low energy, among others. I possess a PhD in Education and Counseling, a Master of Social Work degree, am trained in CBT, ISTDP, and am a trained sex therapist. Therapy is a place to feel safe, be who we are with no excuses needed. Creativity, laughter, sharing, and building relationships are what life is about. I use a variety of modalities and techniques that are personalized for each client, along with evidence based practices when appropriate. Life can be difficult, we don't have to go through it alone.

*ACCEPTING CLIENTS FOR JANUARY 2025.* I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist, and together, we can explore how your past experiences have shaped who you are today. You will gain self-understanding, self-compassion, and begin to feel happier and more fulfilled. My clients are individuals and couples with a wide variety of concerns, including relationship issues, anxiety, grief, depression, and trauma.
