This led me to create College Telehealth, a secure and confidential virtual group practice, to support college students who are struggling with mental health challenges. I commend you for taking this brave, first step for your well-being and would be happy to help you through the process. Let's figure out your concerns together so you can feel balanced and start enjoying YOUR adventure! Please fill out a contact form on our website, www.CollegeTelehealth.com. Put your mental health first. Many times in the past, I have got so caught up with multiple responsibilities, that I stopped caring well for myself, which hindered my ability to meet my responsibilities. I have found it necessary, at those times, to cut back and turn my attention to self-care. Whatever difficulty you may be facing, academic, relationships, or emotional, I encourage you to get help. The sooner you address it, the easier it is to correct. The treatment approach will depend upon your needs. If you have an addiction, or similar behavioral problem, Motivational Interviewing is the best evidence-based approach. If it is PTSD, EMDR. I am eclectic, using the SAMHSA.gov best practice recommendations for the treatment of trauma, addictions, anxieties, and mood disorders. See my website for more information.
Hi, I’m Liz! I’m a Licensed therapist (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Sports Social Worker - and founder of MENTL.SESH. I help people accomplish their goals, reconnect with their sense of self, boost confidence, and improve mental fitness by meeting them where they are at in their mental health journeys. Working with athletes, high performers and creatives to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and challenging life situations are my areas of specialty. Therapy should feel fulfilling and the last thing I want for my clients is for therapy to feel like a chore. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for working toward and achieving therapeutic goals, so I encourage you to feel all the feels, speak your mind, and be yourself in sessions. Therapy with me is a collaborative process and I want any clients who work with me to feel that they are heard and supported. Throughout the therapy process, we will explore both the highs and lows, whether that be through identifying thought patterns, behavioral patterns, current and past experiences, or self-care and coping skills. I'm a firm believer that healing is not linear and acknowledging the good is equally important to living your best life. I aim to have a down-to-earth, strengths-based & integrative approach and will most definitely throw in a few sports and pop culture references, thinking outside of the box, and use humor when appropriate. I received my Master’s in Social Work degree from NYU and have advanced training in, Sports Social Work interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Trauma Focused -Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-informed practice, Functional Family therapy, and more.

Many of the students I work with are kind, hardworking, and thoughtful—but they’re also exhausted. They often feel anxious, overwhelmed, or like they’re constantly falling behind no matter how hard they try. Some struggle with focus, motivation, or staying organized—especially those dealing with ADHD symptoms like mental fog, procrastination, or racing thoughts that make it hard to relax or keep up with school. Others are managing perfectionism, body image concerns, trauma, or health issues that are hard to talk about with friends or family. If you’re feeling burned out, stuck, or like your emotions are too much to handle on your own, you’re not alone—and you don’t have to figure it out by yourself. I offer a supportive space where we can sort through what’s going on and help you feel more grounded, confident, and capable. Sessions are fully virtual for Pennsylvania residents, and I offer flexible scheduling, accept several insurance plans, and provide sliding scale options to keep therapy accessible.

My work with people focuses on meeting you where you are. First time in therapy? No problem, let's take it slow and figure out what you want to get out of this experience. A seasoned therapy pro? Let's talk about your past therapy experiences and go from there. Where ever you land on the therapy experience spectrum, you are welcome here and I look forward to working with you! The over arching goal of my work with clients is for you to align and connect with who you are and how you want to live. Sometimes that is really easy to identify, but it can also be tremendously overwhelming. Come as you are and leave who you want to be!

The Understory Group was founded around one guiding principle: We are at our best when we grow together. As therapists, we're not interested in seeing our clients as a list of symptoms, problem behaviors, or diagnoses--we're interested in working with individuals, families, and resilient survivors who have trusted us with their stories. We approach our work through an anti-oppressive lens with a particular focus on providing quality care to the LGBTQ+ community. A vibrant and thriving ecosystem can only exist when it creates space for diversity, adaptation, and community. Let's create a beautiful understory.

My favorite part of helping people is collaborating with my clients. I work together with students to help them reach their goals, get some relief and learn new ways to cope. As a licensed professional counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor, my approach is both nurturing and strengths-based. I believe that every person is unique and has the ability to cope and heal. As your therapist, I will help you strategize to develop treatment goals and offer warm support as we get you there. In doing so, I primarily use IFS (Internal Family Systems- I’m Level 2-trained), but my approach can also be eclectic.
