We are a small private practice located in Fort Collins, CO who treat individuals struggling with depression and/or anxiety. These conditions include a variety of symptoms including feelings of sadness, loss of motivation, low energy, isolation, feeling worthless, disruption to appetite or sleep, racing thoughts, over-thinking, worry, nervousness, and panic attacks. Due to these symptoms, the ability to function normally is impacted, and many of our clients are having difficulty in school and in their relationships. We use an evidence- based treatment called Cognitive Behavior Therapy to address symptoms and help our clients feel better. We work well with individuals who are motivated to make changes and implement the tactics they learn in between sessions. Please visit our website for more information: evolvecounselingnoco.com

With experience in high-acuity and residential settings, I specialize in trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, and acute crisis intervention for adolescents, adults, and families. This includes psychosis, suicidality, substance use, trauma, and behavioral challenges. Together, we'll work on identifying triggers, managing intense emotions, developing effective communication skills, and building healthy coping skills that feel authentic and sustainable, so you can feel safe, emotionally aware, and equipped for lasting healing. Many of my patients feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, or disconnected, and struggle with trust, especially within family relationships. If this resonates, you’re not alone. At the heart of everything I do is a commitment to meeting you where you are, as a compassionate, genuine, and trustworthy partner every step of the way. Person-centered, strengths-based, and compassionate care isn't just a framework. It's how I show up for every person I work with. That’s why you can always expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where your unique needs and goals shape each session, and where you always feel safe and heard while building emotional awareness. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, trauma-informed care, Mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused techniques, we'll work to manage intense emotions, strengthen relationships, and build tools for lasting well-being. My approach is calm, collaborative, and warm, with room for authenticity and laughter, because healing feels comes more naturally when the space truly feels like your own. My path to becoming a therapist began with a desire to create positive change by helping those who feel unheard, unseen, or unable to help themselves. That belief has always been at the core of this work: everyone deserves to feel valued, understood, and supported. Experience in high-acuity and residential settings deepened that commitment, working alongside adolescents and families through their hardest moments. When you work with me, you'll find someone who can sit with you through the difficult times while bringing lightness when it's needed. Every session is designed to feel genuine, approachable, and fully in support of your growth. Outside of the therapy room, life is full and family centered. As a mom, much of my time is spent cheering on my kids across a wide range of activities. including wrestling, football, volleyball, track, basketball, boxing, and cheerleading. Giving back to the community is something that matters close to home, too. Supporting my husband's work building a youth football team that creates opportunities for young people from lower-income communities with a passion for the game is a source of real pride and purpose.

I am an ANCC board certified nurse practitioner specializing in the identification, treatment, and management of psychological disorders. I received both my masters and doctoral degree from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. My work history includes not only medication management in both inpatient and outpatient settings, but also psychotherapy with an emphasis on Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have written several book chapters and journal articles that have been published in literature directed towards primary care providers. Collaborating and coordinating patient care amongst all care providers is something that I have always integrated into my practice as it is very important in guiding successful and holistic outcomes. Many students have mental health concerns from time to time. We feel stuck or face certain challenges. Sometimes we know what’s wrong and other times, we have the nagging sensation that something feels “off.” It can be stress, anxiety, depression, or academic pressures. When we understand the causes of your troubles, we can alleviate your symptoms. And, when we do, you’ll feel renewed and be a better student, friend, romantic partner, son or daughter. When your desire for your own welfare overrules your limiting beliefs and negative self-talk, what you aspire to starts flowing into your lives—be it a relationship, academic success. Your manifestations become effortless, without internal strife and resistance.

It takes courage and humility to seek out a therapist. If your own life, your romantic relationship, or both are leaving you unsatisfied, stuck, or unhappy, I commend you for considering outside help. The support of people whom I trust and who care for me – including my own therapists – has been instrumental to my own healing and growth. I would be honored to provide you with that same partnership in your journey of change. When we combine my training in therapy with your knowledge of who you are and where you want to go, we can identify meaningful goals together and help you progress toward them. Working with couples and individuals, I specialize in treating relationship and intimacy difficulties, men’s issues, and sexual issues. I use emotionally-focused, somatic, and cognitive-behavioral techniques. I bring genuine care, gentle humor, and deep acceptance to each client. In addition to working as a therapist, I am a research psychologist who earned a PhD at the University of Denver. I conduct research on healthy relationships and sexual health and have taught psychology courses at several colleges and universities in the Front Range. These roles help me continually learn how to be a better therapist.

I believe issues in our lives arise from a lack of connection to others and to the internal parts within ourselves. Once we strengthen these connections and resolve inner conflict, we are able to reach a state of feeling more integrated and authentic. You are the expert of yourself and I will honor that in our work together. As a counselor, I view my role as walking next to you while you process the areas of your life that are troubling you. We will know you have gotten what you needed from our work together when you feel empowered to navigate your life's challenges confidently.
