Two decades ago, I sat where you are now—uncertain but hopeful. Today, as a licensed therapist in Georgia, I use both my personal and professional experience to help you navigate your way forward. In fact, I still see the professional who first helped me start my journey—a testament to my belief in the power of having someone in your corner. If you are curious, I encourage you to take a chance on yourself. There is no commitment—you are entirely in the driver’s seat—just a safe space to see what is possible. I built my practice to be a soft landing spot for women and LGBTQ+ individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and complex family dynamics. If this sounds like you, you are in the right place. Over the past decade of working one-on-one with clients, I have developed signature healing groups—such as Transcending Trauma, Just Between Us Girls, and Adulting After Dysfunky—because I deeply believe that we heal the same way we are hurt: in relationship. Beyond our sessions, I am committed to your growth. I actively maintain an extensive, curated resource network of books, podcasts, articles, clinical handouts, and trusted specialists who uniquely understand the needs of trauma survivors. You don't have to do it "right." You just have to show up. The Brannen Center started with the goal of helping people to targeted work to quickly resolve symptoms. We are trauma experts, and we work with a variety of other issues like depression, anxiety, nuerodiversity, OCD, dissociative disorders, psychosis, life transitions, grief, stress, etc. We use a combination of deep listening, EMDR, parts work, and other somatic modalities to help our clients achieve profound and lasting change. We expect that you will see significant progress in the time we are working together, and if you don't, we will help you find someone who can offer that to you.
My primary goal as a Therapist is to offer you the space to be vulnerable and creative in collaborative solution-finding while strengthening internal resources to promote your personal growth & to expand your view of yourself. I enjoy learning about your unique understanding of your own experience, as well foster curiousity about your interactions within a network of systems/relationships. I strive to hold your stories with care, empathy, & compassion.
Wherever you have been, however you have arrived, I’m glad you are here. To me, therapy is about taking time and space to listen to our bodies and emotions, with the hope of allowing us to reconnect with our inherent wisdom. We don't lose touch with this wisdom by accident. Trauma, unhealed wounds, and oppression separate us from our wisdom and intuition, and impact our ability to access all parts of ourselves. You and your body carry so much, from the grief and resilience of those who came before you, to the stress of everyday life. You were never meant to carry it all on your own. I approach therapy from a relational and attachment-based framework, with strong influences from intersectional feminism, trauma-informed care and somatic practices. I also believe that our individual health can't be disentangled from our collective wellbeing and therapy is only one of many paths towards healing.
ONLINE ONLY! In my view, psychotherapy serves different purposes at different stages of one's life. For young adults, one of the key tasks at hand is to discover their potential, talents, weaknesses, fears, wants and needs, and to manage relationships at various levels of emotional intimacy. In this process, many of us need to clarify past issues and unresolved conflicts to move forward more freely. My practice is informal, relaxed and friendly, and most of my clients come from multicultural and multiracial backgrounds, and I treasure diversity. I am comfortable working in English, Portuguese and Spanish languages.

Are you a female college student feeling dissatisfied with your life and open to exploring the ways in which your thoughts and feelings drive behavior? Do you wish you had the skills to increase mindfulness and better stress tolerance or emotional regulation? Are you experiencing a major life transition—such as college or entry to adulthood or a change in relationship or career status or health—and need help making meaning of your experience or changing internalized narratives that aren’t working for you? I am a trained therapist and educator who takes a holistic approach to your health and how the mind, body, and spirit influence your overall wellness. With my help, we will challenge negative thoughts to identify distortions and triggers, establish boundaries, and avoid reactive behavior patterns to promote personal development. By teasing apart the accepted narratives, you will gain a better understanding of how this affects your behaviors, moods, and emotions and will empower you to change the way you think and operate in the world.
