I enjoy helping others reach their goals using a personable, down-to-earth, and collaborative approach. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing clients succeed in reaching or exceeding their goals. My specialties include stress, anxiety, relationships, motivation, focus, and confidence/assertiveness. Holistic in scope, my approach takes into consideration the many facets of you as an individual, including one's physical health, interpersonal relationships, and spirituality (if desired). Having taught mindfulness now for over 20 years, I enjoy incorporating these skills, helping my clients to be more present and relaxed daily. I work collaboratively with clients helping them to skillfully move toward the change they are seeking and ultimately gain more personal freedom and resiliency in the face of life’s varied challenges. In addition to being a therapist, I am a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional. This helps me to educate my clients on how diet, exercise, and lifestyle affect mental health. I enjoy working with students who find themselves looking for help with anxiety, OCD, stress, and feelings of burnout. A lot of my clients identify with being high-achieving and introverted. From my own experience in college and working with college students for the last 10 years, I know school can be both fun and exciting, but also overwhelming and stressful. Please don't hesitate to reach out (via phone or email) to see if you'd like to work with me - I always start with a free 20 minute consultation call to get to know potential clients.

Do you experience anxiety, depression, or dealing with distressing or traumatic events that are causing you to feel stuck? Are you experiencing an unhealthy relationship with food or body image? Do you feel like you are dealing with toxic relationships or patterns that are keeping you from living your best life? Therapy can provide support in helping you find a balanced relationship with food and body image, as well as find ways to manage overwhelming emotions and traumatic events. It can help bring awareness to the reasons why you are experiencing these challenges and provide a space for healing. In therapy, we work collaboratively to understand your experiences as well and find ways to navigate through them. Regardless of approach, the therapeutic relationship we build together is the most important component for successful outcomes. Connection is key! We will explore your experiences from your perspective in a non-judgmental and compassionate way, then find recognized and innovative therapies that best fit your needs. I have training in evidence-based techniques that incorporate specific tools, strategies and goals, including psychodynamic, interpersonal, CBT, attachment-based and Mindfulness approaches. I also work to raise awareness of ways in which your body may hold distressing experiences in unspoken ways. Some of my clients enjoy experience-based therapeutic approaches - like those in the art therapy group I’ve led for over 11 years. And if you just need someone to talk to, and process things with, I believe one of the most important experiences for a person is just to be heard and validated. Let’s look at the range of tools available to us and then help you find your unique path to holistic healing and meaningful peace. I have over 15 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist. I have worked in a range of treatment settings from inpatient, intensive outpatient, counseling centers, and private practice. Areas of specialization include disordered eating from restrictive patterns to overeating, binge eating, and emotional eating, as well as bulimia and body image disturbances. I have a passion for helping survivors of abuse and domestic violence. I also work with a range of presenting concerns including depression, anxiety, and relationship problems. I use evidence-based techniques including mindfulness and CBT, as well as incorporate creative and more dynamic strategies to facilitate the healing process. I am passionate about working with people of all sexual orientations, self-identification or lifestyles. It is my belief that it is our differences and unique perspectives that can bring the greatest healing. It takes much strength and courage to seek therapy and bring voice to difficult truths. The goal for therapy is to help support the changes that you wish to make and learn to internalize the strategies and tools needed to continue on with a happy and healthy life without the need for therapy. It would be an honor to join you on your journey.

You ever wondered if there was a therapist out there who truly gets you? Who could relate and understand your experiences being different than the normative society? Well look no further! I work with clients navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, and relational struggles. I have a special passion for supporting geeks, gamers, creatives, alternative individuals, neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ clients who often feel like they don’t quite fit the mold. I use evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with elements of geek therapy. My clients often come to me struggling with perfectionism, boundary setting, self-esteem, identity, or body image issues, feeling stuck or overwhelmed in a world that doesn’t always make space for who they are. In our work together, we’ll create that space—judgment-free, collaborative, and affirming. Whether you’re battling your inner critic, processing trauma, or just trying to survive in a neurotypical or cis-normative world, I’m here to support your growth, healing, and self-discovery. Therapy doesn’t have to be sterile or detached—we can bring your fandoms, creativity, and passions into the room as tools for healing.

Sometimes we need some support navigating the rough waters of life. Therapy can help guide you in releasing your pain and so that you can start living with more peace and ease.

Our psychologists and therapists specialize in therapy for trauma, anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, eating disorders, and sleep. With life experience comes pain, loss, and suffering.
