I am a clinical psychologist and sub-specialize in couples and family therapy. I help couples and individuals deal with a variety of issues that may be interfering with relationships such as depression, anxiety, infidelity, poor communication, constant fighting, lack of motivation, or feelings of disconnection. My goal as a therapist is to give my clients the tools to achieve the kind of control that lets them be in charge. This is the only true path to a happy and fulfilling relationship. I also help parents deal with children who may be unmotivated, anxious, depressed, or oppositional. I believe parents need to be strategic with troubled children. Sessions focus on empowering parents with tools to reduce parent-child power struggles, stop self-defeating behavior and improve self-esteem and motivation to succeed. Clients leave my office having a clear idea of what they need to do to improve their circumstances. I aim to achieve positive change in the briefest time possible. I have had success with many clients that have seen multiple previous therapists.

College can bring on anxieties and insecurities that may have felt more manageable in high school. Our practice is a welcoming place where you can feel comfortable to be who you are.
We help people who look happy on the outside actually feel that way on the inside. It's exhausting trying to keep it all together. Most of us expend a huge amount of effort to make it look like our life is perfect; especially on social media. Some of us even relate to the dreaded Imposter Syndrome. While our accomplishments may be lengthy, our relationships and fulfillment are lacking. We understand, and our approach reflects just that. Creating a connection is core to our approach to counseling. We work from a multitude of theoretical frameworks including person-centered, positive psychology, cognitive behavioral, family systems, and solution focused. Much of our experience has been helping people find balance in their lives and re-focus their energies on values important to them.

As a therapist, I specialize in working with current and former athletes, students, and high achievers who are navigating challenges with perfectionism, self-criticism, anxiety, relationships, self-esteem, and identity. My practice is rooted in supporting girls and women strengthen their confidence and redefine their success. Whether you're navigating life during or after sport, facing academic or career pressure, or trying to rediscover who you are outside of achievement, therapy can be a powerful space to pause, reflect, and heal. Many of my clients are used to excelling. From the outside, they seem driven, focused, and capable. But internally, they may struggle with self-criticism, burnout, imposter syndrome, or a sense that they’re not “enough”, even when they’re exceeding expectations. I use evidence based strategies to help clients in creating a more empowered sense of self! My approach is collaborative, affirming, and non-judgemental. I’m a former collegiate athlete and current coach, so I have first-hand experience seeing and experiencing the impact on young women. I am also currently PhD Candidate researching depression, anxiety, and perfectionism seen in athletes.

When is the last time you intentionally gave yourself (or others) grace? No really… when was the last time? Life comes at us quick and if we’re not careful, we’ll find ourselves struggling with unforgiveness, anger, self-doubt and more; because we allowed the battles we face to win. The truth is, they don’t have to win. We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can learn to control how we respond. We can make the necessary changes to show up in this world in a way that brings us joy and fulfillment. Living Intentionally to Transform (LITT) was created to provide a safe space for YOU to process through life’s troubles. I specialize in working with adolescents, athletes, college students and adults. When serving clients, my approach is simple… come as you are! I strive to always provide a space for clients to just, be. No pressure to act, talk or show up in a certain way. You can expect to be met with respect and understanding at all times and for me to be fully, me. For those who are Christians, you will also find a place to grow in your faith. When seeking a provider, most people desire someone with similar beliefs and/or morals. It’s also important for many to be able to feel a sense of connectivity with the person they are trusting for services. Well, let me share a little about myself. I am a PROUD HBCU graduate from theeeeee Winston Salem State University. I am also a graduate of Georgia State University where I received my Masters in Social Work. Most would describe me as laid back, transparent and silly. My clients would likely say that I’m one that will “keep it real” but also share a good laugh with you when needed. I will challenge you but also support you. I love time with family and have a special place in my heart for athletes as I am a previous athlete and coach myself. Did I mention I love cheesecake? Alright, alright.. enough about me… are you ready? As a Somatic Therapist and Intuitive Eating Counselor, I blend talk therapy with body-based techniques to help people rediscover their innate wisdom and hunger for life. Instead of getting caught in a spiral of prescriptive “shoulds” as related to eating, exercise, perfectionism, anxiety or depression, my holistic approach allows you to slowly become more aware of your unique bodily rhythms, relational needs, gut instincts and deeper hungers from the inside-out. I love helping people reconnect with their body-mind-spirit from a trauma-informed, depth-oriented, expressive arts, and all-bodies-welcome approach. With a great appreciation for the body’s wisdom, early developmental imprinting and expanding one’s intuition, I draw upon nervous system science, attachment theory and trauma-informed somatic therapy to help clients feel supported and empowered in their bodies and lives. Sometimes we talk, sometimes we move and make art, sometimes we explore developmental shapes or movement patterns, and sometimes we do all three. You set the pace.
Hello there! I am Abbie Becker (LMSW), a licensed psychotherapist specializing in DBT, RO-DBT, and CBT for adolescents and young adults. I work with clients that are seeking out services for individual, family, and group therapy. Whether you are new to therapy, ready to return, or wavering at the thought, I’m eager to connect – no matter where you are in life. Before we explore the fundamental question of “What brings you to therapy?”, I think it’s only reasonable for you to become acquainted with your potential therapist. I incorporate my values into practice by instilling authenticity, empathy, kindness, resiliency, and vulnerability. Originating in Metro Atlanta and raised on Georgia football, I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Georgia, while managing to find my way back to Atlanta for a master’s in clinical social work from Kennesaw State. On any given day, you can find me unapologetically jamming to music, scanning flight deals for my next place of travel, and expressing creativity through unfinished furniture flips, blank canvases, and original jewelry designs. I’m passionate about working with individuals who have challenges with anxiety, depression, mood instability, medical trauma, under-controlled and over-controlled traits, women’s health, belongingness, and self-esteem. With hundreds of relationships established across my diverse experiences with a human trafficking non-profit and three residential facilities - including Hillside, a nationally recognized treatment program - I consistently recognize that no one is too broken, hopeless, or unworthy of having a life that is worth living. The unpredictable elements of life can be overwhelming. At times, it feels like the sun may never rise. However, these are also the bittersweet moments that foster personal growth, and it would be my absolute privilege in guiding you to the warm light.
