School can be a stressful time. In addition to managing any mental health issues you might be experiencing, you also feel pressure to do well academically, or have anxiety about your career, or be unhappy with friendships on campus and feeling alone, or having difficulty adjusting to the increased demands on their time or to the new environment. I work with students who are struggling in these areas, and have extensive experience working specifically with college and graduate school students, so I understand both the unique challenges and common stressors you're facing. In addition, I have specific expertise in helping young adults navigate dating and romantic relationships in the college setting. In fact, my doctoral project focused on understanding how young adults experience hookup culture. My goal is to help clients reduce anxiety, manage depression and bipolar disorders, resolve relationship issues, navigate difficult life transitions, and maintain healthy habits and lifestyles. Many people feel overwhelmed and lost, unhappy in their situation but unable to make positive change or find satisfaction in life. They rely on old habits to feel better such as avoidance by overworking or isolating, escaping through technology or substances, or being self-critical in hopes this will force themselves to change. In individual therapy I help my clients understand how their past has shaped their present, identify immediate and future goals, learn healthy ways to cope and grow, and find meaning in their lives. I also have a specific interest in helping people understand patterns in their relationships and improving their connections with others.

Navigating life changes, especially when things don’t go as planned, can be overwhelming and traumatic. I specialize in working with adults who are going through significant life events and coping with the anxiety, loneliness, and self-doubt that can come along with them. Through a relational and strengths-based lens, I help my clients work through challenging or traumatic moments from their past that are holding them back from fully embracing the present. College students experience a unique type of stress - from adjusting to a new environment, to figuring out who you are, and balancing relationships with people at school and at home. If you find yourself over-thinking, worrying non-stop, or feeling uninterested in things you used to enjoy, therapy can help. With a fresh perspective, you'll gain strength and coping mechanisms to overcome what's preventing you from living a life you love. My hope is that my clients feel seen, supported, and empowered. You are the expert in your own experiences, and it’s my job to walk alongside you as a compassionate witness. Together, we’ll collaborate to identify goals that are aligned with your core values, and implement a plan to help you nurture your authentic self.

Hi! My name is Julia, and I’m excited to meet you! First, let me introduce myself and share what working with me will be like.   My practice focuses on balancing acceptance and change—embracing who you are and your life-circumstances, while also encouraging progress and self-transformation. My method combines evidence-based modalities (Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Practices) with Liberation Health Theory, a holistic approach that will help you unlearn harmful societal messages that are deeply ingrained in all of us. I’m committed to helping you build internal self-worth and trust. You will be able to tap back into your intuition, and move forward with confidence. I often use humor in our sessions to help make things feel a bit more relaxed. It’s all about finding a balance—supporting you through challenges while keeping things approachable. Nobody wants to feel like they’re talking to a wall! I show up authentically in sessions, hoping that you can too. I specialize in helping clients navigate: * Life changes * Depression * Anxiety * Body image concerns / self-esteem * Relationship struggles * Trauma * Family relationships / boundaries * Navigating neurodivergence (ADHD, ASD, etc.) We all deserve to face life’s unique challenges from a regulated starting point. I know that this is not always easy in 2024, and I will be committed to your improvement, whatever that looks like for you. I meet you where you are at. As a licensed social worker, I specialize in helping individuals, both adolescents and adults, navigate the challenges of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and anxiety disorders. I use evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to empower my clients to manage their symptoms, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and to feel more comfortable with the inevitable discomfort and uncertainty that humans face daily. I offer a safe, compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their struggles. I believe in a holistic approach that addresses not just symptoms, but the whole person. I also value open communication, so I encourage feedback throughout our work together to ensure we are on the right path. I am passionate about this work because I truly believe that with the right tools and support, everyone has the ability to live a value-based life. I love seeing my clients develop a better understanding of their strengths and learn to live with uncertainty. It is amazing to me how much bigger the world can seem when we are not constrained by our fears.

Life is a journey of continual self-discovery, filled with challenges, stressors, and moments of adjustment. Hi, I’m Molly Johnson and I’m a licensed therapist in both Massachusetts and Minnesota. I’m passionate about helping people heal, deepen their insight, and become more skillful in how they live their life. While I previously offered in-person therapy, I now work exclusively through virtual sessions. Many clients begin with some hesitation, but soon find that virtual therapy feels just as connected and supportive as being in the room together. My therapeutic approach draws from DBT, CBT, and other evidence-based practices, but at the heart of my work is a genuine listening ear, attentive presence and someone who is cheering you on!

I am a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in diagnostic assessments and evaluations and psychotherapy. Within our practice, I supervise graduate level trainees who provide individual psychotherapy and assessment. We assess clients with a diverse range of clinical difficulties (e.g., Autism Spectrum, developmental/learning disabilities, psychiatric conditions, traumatic brain injury, ). As a clinician, my overarching goals are to help clients and their families assess for diagnoses that will inform treatment and advocate for supportive accommodations and/or services. I approach clinical work from a multicultural perspective and am strongly oriented with a humanistic, person-centered framework. Our clinicians bring experience, expertise and a team approach to diagnosing and treating. If an adult needs to see more than one clinician (e.g., individual, couples work), we work together to provide coordinated, comprehensive care.

I specialize in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy; these approaches are particularly suited for such issues as coping with losses, reducing self-criticism, increasing relationship fulfillment and bolstering creativity. Often, I work with people whose prior therapy experience(s) was symptom-oriented or brief but who found themselves wondering if there is something more. I also often work with people in academia, such as graduate students and post-docs. I am particularly passionate about graduate student mental health and am aware of the unique stressors often faced by doctoral students, as well as the factors that make it more challenging to reach out for support. I am aware of the ways that concerns pertaining to identity, belonging and family of origin often begin to come to the fore when one finds themselves in a new environment and/or a new academic/professional endeavor.

I’ve had the privilege of working with students from all walks of life—PhD candidates at MIT, first-year undergraduates just beginning their college experience, and international students who have traveled across the world to study in the Boston area. I understand the unique mix of excitement, pressure, and expectation that comes with academic life, and I know that the right therapeutic support can make all the difference between simply getting through college and truly thriving in it. We don’t leave our pasts behind when we move onto campus. Sometimes, unresolved experiences or past trauma can create barriers to feeling fulfilled or confident in this new chapter. College is about much more than your major—it’s a time of self-discovery, growth, and learning how to navigate both independence and connection. Whether you’re seeking support for stress management, identity exploration, or processing painful experiences, I’m here to help you build insight, resilience, and a stronger sense of self as you move through this important stage of life.
