Therapists for college students near Northeastern University
My practice focuses supporting people in clarifying their values and in living lives that realize their deepest values. I believe that there are many ways to be mentally healthy, and I pursue a pluralistic view of mental health, one which varies from person to person. I aim to be a patient and supportive companion for you to determine what is important to you and to make meaningful change. I have worked as a professor at a number of universities in the US and abroad, and I have also worked as a social worker for young adults with mental illness. My academic and psychiatric experience makes me an ideal fit for working with students (undergraduate or graduate) who are facing life transitions or mental health challenges. Therapy is an exciting journey and it is always a pleasure to meet new or potential clients. I look forward to hearing from you.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a M.S.W from University of California, Berkeley School of Social Work, and a BA from Connecticut College. I have a background working in various settings with children, young adults, and families in the child welfare system in CA, in various hospital social work settings here in Boston, and in college mental health. In my therapy work, I employ a strengths-based approach and work to help patients recognize and build upon their own existing strengths, supports, coping skills, and resilience in order to manage during challenging times. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, cooking, and chasing after my dog. Pronouns: She, her, hers. I work especially well with individuals who are accessing therapy for the first time and need a safe space to learn about the process. I am certified in EMDR and can be helpful to those looking to explore past trauma and its impact on their current functioning.
I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW). My passion and focus is working with late adolescents and adults to navigate a wide range of issues including, work and school transitions, body image and food related matters, family conflict, depression, anxiety and general life stressors. My patients describe me as warm, direct and engaged. Finding a provider you're comfortable with can be an overwhelming process. I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation and typically recommend spending a few sessions to see if we work well together.
Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by stress, grief, shame, or old patterns that they cannot seem to break. In our sessions you will have room to slow down, reflect, and release the weight of what you have been carrying. We aim to help you feel more grounded, more confident, and more connected to the life you want, both personally and professionally. We are a group practice led by Rebecca, an LICSW, and Julianne, an LMHC, offering Tuesday and Friday telehealth appointments with the goal of providing accessible, supportive therapy for all patients. If you are ready to begin this process, we are here to support you. Our work is grounded in cognitive behavioral and trauma informed approaches. This means we focus on helping you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and experiences interact, and how you can develop practical tools to cope with what you are going through. We work with adults, and welcome anyone seeking support for depression, trauma, grief, stress, or life changes. Whether challenges are longstanding or new, you do not have to face them alone.
At Measured Wellness, we pride ourselves in providing evidence based, inclusive, and holistic care. Our tech-enabled practice affords you the convenience of telehealth in addition to our in-person clinic located in Brookline. We offer both psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and consultation for ketamine/esketamine services.
Hi, I’m Naomi, a licensed mental health clinician providing virtual therapy for college students across Massachusetts. College can be an exciting time, but it can also bring pressure, uncertainty, and challenges that are difficult to manage alone. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, disconnected, or simply not like yourself, therapy can offer a space to pause, feel understood, and find your footing again. I provide a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can talk openly about what you’re experiencing while developing practical tools for navigating college and everyday life. I work with students experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, self-esteem concerns, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. My approach is collaborative and individualized, drawing from CBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, and expressive approaches. Together, we’ll work toward greater self-awareness, emotional balance, confidence, and coping skills that feel realistic for you. You don’t have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You just have to be willing to take the first step.
Hi! I am a licensed clinician who supports clients struggling with any and all of the stressors of our time with a focus on creating a nurturing therapy space.
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck in anxiety, dissatisfaction, or stress. Over time, I’ve seen people make meaningful change, regain confidence, and feel more present. I am a licensed clinical social worker who specializes in depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and relationship issues with over 1,500 hours of experience working with youths and adults. We will work together to make sense of what you carry, identify what gets in the way, and move toward the life you want. I am passionate about using graphics, worksheets, art, music, film, somatic practices, philosophy, and even memes in my work. If that interests you, we may be a good fit!
I am currently accepting self-pay clients! During therapy sessions, I hold space for people facing all types of life experiences that encompass our collective human experience. Some key areas that I support individuals with are finding relief from anxiety through the cultivation of self-regulation and nervous system support, navigating major life transitions, healing from traumatic events, past or present, and exploring ways of living that are in alignment with one's true desires. I strive to help individuals build a relationship with themselves that are rooted in compassion and self-acceptance. As our imagination becomes activated and absorbed in the freedom of art and play, our linear or rational thinking processes of labeling and making judgments are temporarily suspended. This temporary suspension allows us to access our intuition (heart, center, wisdom, spirit, true self) and deepen awareness of our thoughts, feelings and experiences in life.
Life is a journey of continual self-discovery, filled with challenges, stressors, and moments of adjustment. Sometimes, these demands become overwhelming, and navigating them alone can feel overwhelming. As a therapist, I offer client-centered psychotherapy and consultation services for adults. My expertise lies in assisting individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, stressful life situations, relationship difficulties, and adjustments to life changes. Grounded in developmental, cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and internal family systems (IFS) theories, my approach is focused on the client, practical, and strength-based.
I am a registered dietitian dedicated to helping neurodivergent adults fuel themselves and their lives. From my lived experience and time working with 1000s of clients at my position at a local teaching hospital, I understand how hard it can be to feed ourselves. I am passionate about debunking nutrition myths, sharing nutrition facts and creating meal prep strategies to help balance mood and energy. It is my joy to do this all through the lens of intuitive eating, Health at Every Size (HEAS®) and gentle nutrition. Even if you do not identify as neurodivergent, anyone is welcome!

Founded in 2018 by Cindy Faria, LICSW and inspired by the quote, "If you cannot change the wind, adjust your sails", our company embodies the belief that life's journey toward healthy relationships, joy, purpose, and more should not be navigated alone. We specialize in supporting individuals with anxiety/mood concerns, helping navigate and improve intimate and family relationships, guiding through life transitions, and caring for those suffering from issues rooted in systemic racial oppression, socioeconomic barriers, LGBTQIA+ concerns, cultural/spiritual differences, and more. However, please know that our doors are open to all individuals seeking therapeutic support.

I specialize in anxiety and stress issues. Although these problems are sometimes caused by your biological makeup, most are triggered by various life stressors. Common triggers are academic pressures, interpersonal conflicts, relationship breakups and family situations. Therefore, I believe it is crucial to collaborate with my clients to design solutions that are tailored to their strengths and personality.
