Are you surviving — or actually thriving? I became a therapist so I could help people thrive instead of just surviving. I am a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience helping adults heal from trauma, manage ADHD, break painful relational patterns, and reconnect with who they truly are. I specialize in working with the BIPOC community, college students, first-generation professionals, women navigating major life transitions, high-achieving adults who feel stuck despite their success, and adults with ADHD who are tired of being misunderstood. I am also one of the few LCSWs certified in financial social work — bringing a unique understanding of how money stress, financial trauma, and ADHD intersect with mental health. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you. I draw from trauma-focused therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, ACT, and psychodynamic therapy — always meeting you where you are. Reaching out is the first act of self-care. I offer telehealth exclusively, serving adults in California, New York, New Jersey, and Florida. ¡Se habla español!

I provide trauma-informed and strength-based psychodynamic therapy to adults seeking to understand the personal, intergenerational, and political factors impacting their mental health. I support my clients in the process of healing from past experiences so that they are able to feel their emotions more fully, develop healthier and deeper connections, and make empowered choices about their futures. I specialize in LGBTQ+ and BIPOC-affirming care, couple's therapy, and perinatal mental health. I use a relational approach to support my clients in becoming more curious about their inner lives, more in touch with their hopes and desires, and clearer about the barriers they are facing to meeting their goals. I believe therapy is about helping us to feel more emotionally resilient in the face of any obstacle. Overall, my main goal is to create a safe relationship so that you feel you have true support on your healing journey.

I am a New York State licensed therapist working with adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, and OCD. Many of the people I work with are high functioning and successful, but feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, avoidance, or low mood that are difficult to shift. In therapy, we focus on understanding these patterns and developing practical strategies to respond differently. This often includes learning skills to manage intrusive or anxious thoughts, improve mood, and increase tolerance for uncertainty and difficult emotions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in practical strategies, while also providing space to explore underlying factors that may cause distress. I use evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).

This time in your life can be one of transitions and transformations. Talking to a professional and processing it all can be very beneficial. You’re not alone. Whether you’re dealing with the stress of academic pressure, social pressures, anxiety, or depression, I’ve helped many individuals sort through these issues that can arise during this time in one’s life.
Loss is a quiet grief that doesn't conform to the world's pace, especially when we need stillness as well as acknowledgment. Whether your loss involves a companion animal, a relationship, a career path, or a life that looks OK to others but feels hollow to you, your circumstances deserve to be honored and processed with care. For many years, I have been drawn to working with people who carry more than they can say out loud. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as a Licensed Veterinary Technician, where I sat with families as they navigated some of their toughest moments. Those experiences, as well as my own, inspired me to become a therapist and have informed and shaped how I understand deep pain. I employ a variety of professional modalities, along with humor and a touch of sharp wit, when working with clients, centering them as they move forward with their lives. Grief is not a problem to solve, regardless of the type of loss you're experiencing, what others say, or what hustle culture expects from you.

I specialize in therapy for young and emerging adult women with anxiety, depression, life transitions, and OCD to help them find balance and gain new perspectives on how they see the world and themselves. I challenge Perfectionists, Overthinkers, and People Pleasers to step out of their black-and-white thinking. In our work together, we’ll explore the patterns that have protected you in the past, dive deeper into your experiences, and notice the stories that your mind is telling you. We’ll work with both your mind and body, helping you tune into how your thoughts, emotions, and physical responses are connected. As an integrative therapist, I blend evidence-based practices with a human, relational approach—drawing from different modalities to meet you where you are and what you need most. Hello and welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker dedicated to supporting college students as they navigate the emotional, academic, and personal challenges of this season of life. College can be a time of growth and discovery, but it can also bring stress, anxiety, identity questions, relationship concerns, and past wounds to the surface. As a faith-centered, trauma-informed therapist, I am committed to helping individuals find emotional healing, clarity, and peace. Therapy is a space where you don’t have to have everything figured out; it’s a place to slow down, reflect, and begin healing at your own pace. My name is Cristal Sampson. I am the sole owner and healthcare provider at Spirit Clinic. A great way to describe what it’s like to work with me is through a term I’ve coined: mindful medication management. Mindful med management is an approach to psychiatric care that is attentive to the unique needs and concerns of each individual. It’s a collaborative process, where we work together to ensure that treatment decisions are made with your input and full understanding. At its core, this approach is relational, focusing on building trust and fostering open communication, so you feel supported every step of the way. It's also deeply considerate, acknowledging and respecting your personal experiences and preferences when it comes to treatment. Taking a holistic view, it goes beyond just addressing symptoms—encompassing your overall well-being, including emotional, physical, and social factors. Most importantly, it’s patient-led, meaning that you guide the process, and I’m here to help you find the best path toward better health, on your terms.
