The name 'Winding Path' is a classic metaphor for life - the way in which one's life goes is often not linear or predictable. Often, people find themselves on a path that they both did not see coming nor are sure of where it will lead. This is what brings many people to therapy. I specifically gear my practice to help those with stress, trauma, family conflict, and symptoms that arise with indecision. The ethos of my practice is that I will meet clients where they are and walk with them on their own winding path, while using the therapeutic tools garnered from years of training to aim toward lessening their unease and increasing their clarity.
I provide individual and family therapy to adults and teenagers navigating relational challenges, life transitions, anxiety and depression. I also have extensive background working with neurodivergent people (ADHD and Autism Spectrum). I am passionate about helping individuals as they navigate life adjustments, such as starting a new job, leaving home, becoming a parent or processing a change in a relationship. I value creating a safe, open, and authentic space for people to learn more about themselves. My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, collaborative and relational. I believe that our experiences throughout our lives impact the way that we see ourselves and our relationships. From this perspective, I work with clients to explore how their life experiences have impacted them. I know that it is difficult to choose a therapist. If you are curious about what it would be like to work with me, please feel free to reach out to set up a phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you!

I am a New York State licensed therapist working with adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, and OCD. Many of the people I work with are high functioning and successful, but feel stuck in patterns of overthinking, avoidance, or low mood that are difficult to shift. In therapy, we focus on understanding these patterns and developing practical strategies to respond differently. This often includes learning skills to manage intrusive or anxious thoughts, improve mood, and increase tolerance for uncertainty and difficult emotions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in practical strategies, while also providing space to explore underlying factors that may cause distress. I use evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
College and early adulthood can be exciting, but they can also feel overwhelming. You may be trying to balance classes, work, relationships, family expectations, and questions about your future, all while wondering if you’re the only one who doesn’t have everything figured out. Maybe you’re feeling anxious, burned out, lonely, stuck, or like you’re constantly overthinking. Many of the students I work with are thoughtful, motivated, and care deeply about doing well. From the outside, they often appear to have it together, but internally they’re struggling with stress, self-doubt, perfectionism, relationship challenges, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Therapy offers a place to slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity. My approach is warm, collaborative, and genuine. I won’t just sit back and nod, I ask thoughtful questions, help you recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and support you in developing healthier ways of coping, communicating, and relating to yourself and others. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, understood, and challenged in ways that promote meaningful growth. I provide virtual therapy for college students and young adults throughout Florida, New Mexico, New York, and Texas, making it easier to fit therapy into your busy schedule. If you’re looking for a therapist who is compassionate, engaged, and committed to helping you navigate this stage of life, I’d be honored to work with you.
I am a clinical psychologist who has worked with a lot of college aged students. I specialize in anxiety and depression and have also worked with clients on relationship issues, self esteem, life transitions and general life stress. I work from a predominantly CBT background but incorporate other treatments as well. My style is generally direct and humorous so you can expect sessions to be very interactive.
You deserve to re-connect with yourself and others. I would be honored to partner with you and support your nervous system in accessing more ease, empowerment, and joy. Maybe you’re carrying the weight of stress or trauma, feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, or experiencing pain and tension in your body. Or you may be functioning well on the outside, but feeling disconnected from purpose, meaning, or belonging. Whatever brings you here, I'm so glad you've taken this step. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy with a strong foundation in social justice, offering a compassionate space for healing and reconnection. My approach is collaborative and respectful of your inner strengths. Together, we’ll revisit past wounds when necessary, but always with intention and safety; not just to talk, but to heal. I integrate EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, parts work, mindfulness tools, and somatic approaches to support lasting resilience and emotional clarity. My practice is inclusive, affirming, and grounded in deep respect for all living beings. If you’ve experienced discrimination or systemic harm, I offer a space where your story is seen and honored. Therapy doesn’t have to re-traumatize. It can be a doorway to relief, confidence, and peace. If this sounds like what you need, I’d love to hear from you.

Do you feel exhausted from trying to hold everything together? Maybe you have always been the responsible one or the person others rely on. You pushed through stress, anxiety, and family challenges because you felt like you had to. At first it seemed manageable, but now the pressure feels heavier and harder to carry. On the outside you appear confident and put together. Inside you might feel overwhelmed, burnt out, or worried that you cannot keep this up much longer. Wanting a break does not mean you are failing. It means you are human. I’m Sara, and I help students who are tired of perfectionism, constant pressure, and the weight of expectations. I work with people who want healthier relationships, better communication, and support as they process past experiences that still affect them today. My background includes ACT, CBT, TF-CBT, Brainspotting, and group therapy training, which allows me to tailor our work to what you need. In our sessions, you can expect a warm, honest, and real environment where you can finally let your guard down. I show up as myself so you can feel comfortable showing up as yourself too. You deserve a space where you can put down the pressure you have been carrying and focus on feeling grounded, supported, and hopeful. I am here to help you get there.

It is perfectly normal to have difficult times in your life and you might need some additional support to ease the burden- being a college student is hard! Finding support for your mental health is one of the most meaningful steps you can take for yourself. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with six years of experience, my work centers on helping people of all ages navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma, and life transitions. Whether you're facing low self-worth, struggling to set healthy boundaries, or simply feeling stuck, you don't have to find your way through it alone. My goal is to be a steady, empowering partner in your healing process. Together, we'll work toward building clarity, resilience, and the confidence to move forward with purpose. Wherever you are right now, that's exactly where we'll begin. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and structured, with a genuine belief that lasting healing comes from understanding what's at the root of your struggles. Creating a compassionate, nonjudgmental space where you feel safe enough to go deeper is something I take seriously in every session. Using trauma-informed care and skills-based Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), we'll work together to process emotional pain, manage distress, and build healthier patterns that support greater stability and overall functioning. My style is warm and empowering, and the way we work will always be tailored to your unique capacity to process, accept, and grow. You can expect care that honors who you are and meets you with both structure and heart. Growing up, watching family members navigate mental health challenges, some diagnosed and others not, planted a seed that has shaped everything about the therapist I've become. Coming from a Caribbean background, I saw firsthand how deeply stigma can prevent people from seeking the help they deserve. That experience became a calling to provide a supportive space for my community so they feel that therapy can be effective and not feeling judged. Providing care that is affirming and culturally informed has been my commitment ever since. Understanding how individual and cultural experiences shape the way people cope with distress is something I bring to every conversation. Outside of sessions, life is full of the things that bring me joy and keep me grounded. Cooking is a creative outlet, binge-watching a great TV series is a favorite way to unwind, and spending time with family is where I feel most at home.
