"You're like a listening Yoda," a patient said to me. I have 30+ years of experience making people of all ages and backgrounds and orientations feel comfortable. My patients, colleagues, supervisors and clients have come from nearly every country, represent every socio-economic class, and every aspect of the rainbow in terms of gender identity and sexuality, and have ranged in age from 5 years old to almost 80 years old! Do You Struggle With The 3 P’s? * Pressure * Procrastination * Perfectionism Are you trapped in negative thought-spirals? Improving your well-being starts with how you speak to yourself, and shifting your thinking toward supportive thoughts. Therapy is a process of breaking those patterns. It's also a exploratory process of exploration. It can be short-term or long-term. Often times the initial presenting problem is connected to underlying and enduring deeper themes. We can also be playful and tap into creativity in session. Patients who enjoy music, pop culture, and other creative modalities tell me they appreciate their use as a tool in treatment. People also like learning about the mind in general and theirs in particular. **None of us changes hearing something just once or saying something just once. It takes some repetition to identify, understand, acknowledge, and release.** In-person sessions available in Uptown/Carrollton New Orleans. Remote sessions available for Louisiana and New York Residents,

At the heart of psychotherapy is accompaniment through one’s inner world. Current difficulties, past struggles, individual and familial traumas, hidden hopes and dreams – all of this will be central to making sense of your present and building toward your future. Starting psychotherapy can feel intimidating, but the benefits can be huge: deeper self-understanding, more meaningful and authentic relationships, reduced depression and anxiety, increased self-confidence. I have worked with a diverse swath of undergrad and graduate students in college counseling centers, and have studied and taught at private and public universities across the country. My specializations include relationship struggles, family conflict and crisis, identity development, career direction, academic concerns, gender and sexuality, trauma, spirituality, creativity, chronic illness, immigration, and LGBTQIA+ issues in teens and adults. I am committed to meeting you where you are at in the therapeutic process, and I welcome exploration of racial, sexual, and gender identities. I am a Harvard Medical School Psychiatry fellow trained in psychodynamic, relational, cognitive behavioral, and mindfulness-based therapies, but I believe a strong sense of connection is the most important element in seeking a therapist. I encourage you to reach out to a number of practitioners to find a good match. I look forward to hearing from you.

The college years are a time of self discovery and challenge. Opening yourself up to new people, experiences and ways of thinking can be both invigorating and daunting. Being away from the known can feel overwhelming. What I can offer you is an opportunity to explore underlying patterns of thought, behavior and communication that may inhibit your ability to meet your own expectations of yourself during this unique time in your life. Together we will work to identify and overcome the obstacles that have interfered with your ability to resolve distressing issues. I work with people navigating a season of change, whether through grief, identity exploration, burnout, or relationship transitions, and they are seeking a space where they don’t have to carry it all alone. They may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or uncertain about the future, but they also have a deep desire to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves. Many of the people I work with are highly introspective and care deeply about others, but struggle to extend that same compassion to themselves. They want to feel seen, validated, and supported as a whole person with layered experiences. I specialize in working with people moving through grief, life transitions, and identity-related challenges. I offer a queer-affirming and trauma-informed space where clients can show up as they are. My approach to therapy is relational, compassionate, and grounded in deep listening. If you're feeling the weight of grief, burnout, identity shifts, or emotional disconnection, you don't have to face it alone. Healing isn’t linear, and it doesn’t happen overnight, but it does happen when you feel safe, understood, and empowered. Therapy is a powerful act of selfcare and trust, and I'd be honored to be part of that journey with you.

I strongly believe in utilizing a holistic and person-centered approach to help empower individuals to reach the goals that are most important to them. I am a Postdoctoral psychologist who works with individuals that are hoping to improve their relationship with themselves and with others. I have experience working with adults across the lifespan experiencing a variety of difficulties. My area of specialty is with clients who have a history of disordered eating patterns, as well as a history of trauma. In therapy I encourage clients to be curious about their experiences, and my hope is that together we will deepen our understanding of how your past may be currently impacting your present. My approach with clients is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe personal change occurs best when we notice how our experiences show up for us mentally and physically, so my work often involves active use of the mind-body connection. I use an integrated trauma-informed approach to treatment, which may include the use of somatic internal family systems, relational, psychodynamic, humanistic, feminist therapy and I incorporate techniques from CBT and DBT when appropriate. I provide embodied centered therapy for people struggling in their relationship with food, all with the goal for clients to foster awareness of self, connection with others, and to reconnect to their capacity for full-bodied engagement with the world. Additionally, I offer comprehensive psychological assessments that include both cognitive and personality assessment tools. These assessments are best suited for individuals who are wondering if they may have ADHD and can help to clarify any other mental health diagnostic questions. The results will be provided to you via a written report, which can be used to further your treatment or to justify accommodations to support your needs. I currently am only seeing clients virtually. Please reach out to connect and see if we’d be a good fit. I look forward to meeting you!
